Officially 1 month in lagos and living alone.

Hello guys, hope you're having a great day, my day? Oh it was okay just at home, watching movies and playing game and fixing some stuff, you know, it's not easy for a month old bachelor. So today i will be talking about how my first one month went, far from my family and all alone in a different city.

Oh, that's me in front of my rented apartment. Ok this story started a little different from others. It all started with a burial. Yeah it was the burial of a family friend, she was a good woman, long story cut short, that's where my boss's wife first saw me and a little more cut to the chase, they had a job for me which will take me far from my family and living alone. I arrived at my new home on the 9th of last month. New home!!! But empty😔 but on a bright side i was giving a bed, a really nice one and some kitchen tools. I had to start cooking by myself.

The job, not that pleasant, keeping records of stocks, works everyday but not on Sunday, goes early and back at 5pm. I just flow with it 😎 cause the pay is good. They even gave me a bag of rice to support me, little did they know, they just gave me a chance to improve my rice cooking skills. Guess my diet from then on? RICE yes, one week i ate only rice through out. My mom once said i can't eat only rice from a whole week, but here we are, every time i speak to her on the phone she begs me to reduce my rice intake, think him becoming an asian with the way i consume rice. Good things happened and bad things too follow.

Just some days after i arrived, my phone screen got damaged and the cost of repair is higher than the price of a new phone. Look at me trying to survive and my only companions leave me. But nevermind i replaced him for a while with a new one, welcome my new companion.

Yeah! But still really can't compare with my Samsung but it can do stuffs too. After that i feel ill 🤒. Don't know if it was cause of the change of environment or stress but i rushed and got some drugs asap, which I'm still drinking.
I became a bachelor on easy mode but I'm sure things won't go always as planned, their will be good and bad days but it won't matter if i keep focusing on the good things it will overwhelm the bad one's. So i didn't get a cake to celebrate my first month but i got bread(my second favorite, rice is the first) and a very chilled drink and an avocado salad (I don't really know what to call it just a mix of avocado, onion, tomato, oil and salt) to remind me of the journey i started.

So this is just the beginning of this story and i will have many more moments to write about. Some days i feel like i just want to sleep but reality strike i now have responsibilities. I can survive here all thanks to my parents and when we meet again i will love to spend a great time with them before i leave again. I miss alot of people but an igbo quote says " one can't fully watch a masquerade by standing at a place" meaning you neef to leave your comfy zone, challenge yourself, stand up and chase your dreams to the end.

Wow being a bachelor kind of come with some wisdom, so everyone till we meet again, chase your dreams.
