La ciudad en invierno [ESP/ENG]

Hola a todos! Desde diciembre estamos en invierno en Polonia, pero desde finales de noviembre comenzó a nevar y aunque ya les he hablado un poco al respecto, hay muchas cosas que todavía no les he contado, y que tienen que ver en cómo la ciudad cambia en esta estación, no solo de colores sino también de sensaciones.

Confieso que el primer invierno que viví en Polonia fue algo emocionante para mí, pues no conocía la nieve y todo era novedoso, pero con el tiempo entendí el por qué muchas personas prefieren el verano y no esta estación del año, pues en cierto modo yo siento lo mismo, especialmente ahora que estoy viviendo mi cuarto invierno.

Y no es por venir del caribe el hecho de que me afecten las temperaturas muy bajas, sino que es algo que no todos están dispuestos a tolerar, sobre todo cuando hay que salir de casa por alguna razón, como ir al supermercado o a hacer alguna diligencia, hacen que uno se lo piense más de una vez, primero por tener que llevar muchas capas de ropa y segundo porque aúnque lleves muchas capas de ropa, la sensación de frío no se va, y también deprime un poco tener que pasar tanto tiempo en casa encerrados por el frío.

Además, los hermosos colores del otoño desaparecen, y como ven en las fotos, la ciudad se viste toda de nieve, incluyendo los techos y los árboles, y diría que de soledad también porque es lo que percibo viendo las fotos que tomó mi esposo con el dron, de todas formas entiendo que es una etapa, y como etapa va a terminar, así que ahora es emocionante pensar en que pronto llegará la primavera y podremos ver la ciudad nuevamente llena de vida y luz.

Hello, everyone! Winter has been here in Poland since December, but it started snowing at the end of November. Although I've already talked a little bit about it, there are many things I haven't told you yet about how the city changes during this season, not only in terms of colors but also in terms of sensations.

I confess that the first winter I spent in Poland was quite exciting for me, as I had never seen snow before and everything was new, but over time I understood why many people prefer summer to this season, as in a way I feel the same, especially now that I am experiencing my fourth winter.

And it's not because I come from the Caribbean that very low temperatures affect me, but rather that it's something not everyone is willing to tolerate, especially when you have to leave the house for some reason, such as going to the supermarket or running an errand. It makes you think twice, first because you have to wear lots of layers of clothing, and second because even if you do wear lots of layers, the feeling of cold doesn't go away, It's also a bit depressing to have to spend so much time indoors because of the cold.

In addition, the beautiful colors of autumn disappear, and as you can see in the photos, the city is covered in snow, including the roofs and trees, and I would say loneliness too, because that's what I perceive when I look at the photos my husband took with the drone. Anyway, I understand that it's a phase, and like all phases, it will end, so now it's exciting to think that spring will soon be here and we'll be able to see the city full of life and light again.
