A pocos días de finalizar una etapa || A few days before the end of a stage ♥
¡Hola Chicos!
No sé cuántas veces les he comentado ya que han sido unas semanas súper agitadas en cuanto al trabajo. No he parado, no he tenido tiempo ni siquiera para mí y todo esto y a raíz de un período de transición que hemos estado viviendo en nuestro centro artístico.
Agosto paso de ser un mes de vacaciones a ser un mes de muchísimo trabajo y esto me lo planteé desde el mes de julio, poco a poco fui dando estructura a todas las ideas que tenía en mente y las fui desarrollando.
Estas últimas dos semanas decidí darle un respiro a mi mente porque me estaba volviendo loca. El estrés me tenía súper mal y tal como les comenté en un post anterior, tuve un ataque de ansiedad horrible.
Por eso decidí dedicarme a las clases, una actividad que tenía pautada para estos días y ya. Hoy les contaré como se desarrolló el día de ayer, para no pensar mucho en todo lo que tengo acumulado de contenido.

I don't know how many times I've told you that it's been a really hectic few weeks at work. I haven't stopped, I haven't even had time for myself, and all this because of a period of transition we've been going through at our art center.
August went from being a month of vacation to a month of hard work, and I planned this back in July. Little by little, I structured all the ideas I had in mind and developed them.
These last two weeks, I decided to give my mind a break because I was going crazy. The stress was getting to me, and as I mentioned in a previous post, I had a horrible anxiety attack.
That's why I decided to focus on my classes, an activity I had planned for these days, and that's it. Today I'll tell you how yesterday went, so I don't have to think too much about all the content I have accumulated.
Ayer me tocaba llevar unos lienzos y los caballetes al local porque mis alumnos debían comenzar a pintar la obra que se exhibirá en la próxima galería de arte, así que salí de casa con un montón de cosas. Por suerte mi esposo y mi hijo estaban ahí para ayudarme a llevar las cosas hasta la parada de transporte, que es a 13 cuadras de distancia desde casa.
En el proceso yo había metido un filtro de agua que nos regaló mi suegra en uno de los bolsos y no me percaté que por el lado donde estaba el pitillo botaba agua. Pues se botó la mitad dentro del bolso, por suerte resistió ya que el material era sintético y pude botarla sin mojar todo el carro jajaja fue horrible.
Yesterday, I had to take some canvases and easels to the studio because my students had to start painting the work that will be exhibited at the next art gallery, so I left home with a lot of stuff. Luckily, my husband and son were there to help me carry everything to the bus stop, which is 13 blocks away from home.
In the process, I had put a water filter that my mother-in-law gave us in one of the bags and didn't realize that water was leaking from the side where the spout was. Well, half of it spilled inside the bag, but luckily it held up because the material was synthetic and I was able to throw it away without getting the whole car wet, ha ha ha, it was horrible.
Al llegar atendí primero a las alumnas de crochet, quienes estuvieron bien juiciosas durante toda la clase, dedicadas a sus tejidos. Por supuesto en el proceso mucho chismecito y cuentos jaja como ellas son grandes suelo hablar mucho con ellas. Aunque con los pequeños soy igual así que... jajaja
When I arrived, I first attended to the crochet students, who were very well-behaved throughout the class, dedicated to their knitting. Of course, there was a lot of gossip and stories during the process, haha, as they are older, I tend to talk a lot with them. Although I am the same with the little ones, so... hahaha.
Luego al terminar la clase estuvimos iniciando el trabajo con las obras de los pequeños, todos escogieron unos diseños hermosos, que ya luego les estaré compartiendo.
Para la mayoría es algo nuevo pintar sobre lienzo y se los disfrutaron mucho.
Then, after class, we started working on the children's artwork. They all chose beautiful designs, which I will share with you later.
For most of them, painting on canvas is something new, and they really enjoyed it.
También estuve trabajando con la pequeña de pulseras tejidas, la cual me tiene súper sorprendida de lo mucho que ha avanzado. Ya domina la mayoría de los tejidos, aunque se confunde un poco a veces, ya domina la técnica.
Así finalizamos la clase, ellos quedaron con sus obras a medias pero la próxima semana estaremos perfeccionando los detalles.
Ahora si me despido por ahora pues tengo que salir corriendo a averiguar unas cositas, espero pronto compartirles más sobre eso.♥
I was also working with the little girl on woven bracelets, and I'm really surprised at how much progress she's made. She's already mastered most of the weaving techniques, although she gets a little confused sometimes, she's got the technique down.
That's how we ended the class, they left with their work half done, but next week we'll be perfecting the details.
Now I must say goodbye for now because I have to run off to find out a few things. I hope to share more about that with you soon. ♥
