¡Hola amigos! Cualquier excusa es buena para compartir en familia...

Hace unos días pasamos una noche muy agradable en casa de mis suegros y con nuestro tío Jaime contando anécdotas y hablando de todo un poco.

Hello friends! Any excuse is good to share with family....
A few days ago we spent a very nice evening at my in-laws' house and with our uncle Jaime telling anecdotes and talking about everything a little bit.

Era viernes en la tarde, cuando el tío Jaime le escribió a mi esposo diciéndole que estaba algo ocioso y que tenía ganas de tomarse unos tragos con él, así que todo de imprevisto, lo fuimos a buscar y le llegamos a mis suegros a su casa para también incluirlos en el plan.

It was Friday afternoon, when Uncle Jaime wrote to my husband telling him that he was a little idle and that he wanted to have a few drinks with him, so all of a sudden, we went to pick him up and we went to my in-laws' house to include them in the plan.

Mi esposo, su papá y su tío compraron algunas cervezas y allí estuvimos parte de la noche de manera muy agradable, cultivando momentos en familia. El tío Jaime es de los tíos más especiales que me ha dado mi familia escogida, es incondicional, noble, cariñoso, nunca está pendiente de nada negativo y jamás lo he visto ni siquiera serio. Sus chistes son únicos, una persona sencillamente espectacular y siempre vale la pena compartir un rato con él, por eso apenas vimos el mensaje no dudamos en aceptar la oferta.

My husband, his dad and his uncle bought some beers and we spent part of the night there in a very pleasant way, cultivating family moments. Uncle Jaime is one of the most special uncles that my chosen family has given me, he is unconditional, noble, affectionate, he is never looking for anything negative and I have never seen him even serious. His jokes are unique, a simply spectacular person and it is always worth sharing some time with him, that's why as soon as we saw the message we didn't hesitate to accept the offer.

La noche transcurrió entre risas y conversando de temas varios, comenzamos con el tema de la xenofobia en Chile, luego caímos en la medicina venezolana y lo espectacular que es la atención de nuestros médicos, pasando por lo contentos que estamos de que a José Gregorio Hernández ya lo van a canonizar y seguir con la salud tan precaria del papa Francisco.

The evening was spent laughing and talking about various topics, we started with the topic of xenophobia in Chile, then we fell into Venezuelan medicine and how spectacular is the care of our doctors, passing through how happy we are that José Gregorio Hernández is going to be canonized and continue with the precarious health of Pope Francis.

Luego de alguna u otra forma terminamos conversando sobre historia de Venezuela y finalizamos dedicándole la mayor parte del tiempo a escuchar las anécdotas de la infancia y juventud de tío Jaime y su tío Valentín, un señor que según cuentan era muy ocurrente y dejó un repertorio de vivencias para el recuerdo de tío Jaime que el ahora comparte con nosotros seguramente con la misma alegría como cuando le tocó vivirlas. Que bonito es que aún cuando hayan pasado tantos años de la partida física de una persona, sus historias todavía se mantengan vivas en el recuerdo de quien fue feliz con él o ella en vida.

Then somehow or another we ended up talking about the history of Venezuela and ended up spending most of the time listening to the anecdotes of the childhood and youth of Uncle Jaime and his uncle Valentin, a gentleman who according to the story was very witty and left a repertoire of experiences for the memory of Uncle Jaime that he now shares with us surely with the same joy as when it was his turn to live them. How nice it is that even when so many years have passed since the physical departure of a person, his or her stories are still kept alive in the memory of those who were happy with him or her in life.

Y así fue avanzando la noche en compañía de la familia, un viernes tranquilo, pero diferente para distraernos de nuestras labores y alimentar la alegría y la bendición de estar vivos y en compañía de quienes nos quieren. And so the night progressed in the company of the family, a quiet Friday, but different to distract us from our work and feed the joy and blessing of being alive and in the company of those who love us. Thank you, thank you, thank you for voting commenting and sharing friends. Until next time ❤️😘
