¡Hola amigos! Hace unos días estaba revisando mi disco duro externo donde guardo mucha información, pero también muchos recuerdos y me di cuenta de que tengo demasiadas fotos de momentos inolvidables que viví durante mi época universitaria y en mis 20's que no he compartido con ustedes, ya que en ese entonces no existía este blog. Pero que creo que mejor tarde que nunca para hacerlo, y como aprendí de mi profesora de prótesis fija “recordar es vivir”, así que considero que la mejor manera de revivirlos es redactando todas estas anécdotas para ustedes. De estos post qué comenzaré a llamar “recordar es vivir”, esta es la primera de no sé cuantas partes más jeje, espero los disfruten como yo lo haré reviviendo estos momentos para ustedes.

Hello friends! A few days ago I was reviewing my external hard drive where I keep a lot of information, but also a lot of memories and I realized that I have too many photos of unforgettable moments that I lived during my college days and in my 20's that I have not shared with you, because at that time this blog did not exist. But I think it's better late than never to do it, and as I learned from my fixed prosthesis teacher “to remember is to live”, so I consider that the best way to relive them is writing all these anecdotes for you. Of these post what I will start to call “to remember is to live”, this is the first of I don't know how many more parts hehe, I hope you enjoy them as I will relive these moments for you.

Comenzaré contándoles sobre mí Toquis, ella es mi mejor amiga y nos decimos así por qué ambas nos llamamos Andrea (toquis es la manera cariñosa de decirnos tocayas).

I will start by telling you about me Toquis, she is my best friend and we call each other that way because we are both named Andrea (toquis is the affectionate way of saying tocayas).

Andrea Chacón (mi toquis) y yo estudiamos juntas en el colegio y cuando nos graduamos de bachilleres ella se fue a estudiar Arquitectura en Caracas y yo estudié Odontología en Anzoátegui. La distancia que nos separaba era poca, apenas unas 5 horas en carretera y 25/30 min por avión. Gracias a esto, cada oportunidad que tuvimos para visitarnos mutuamente durante esos años la aprovechamos al máximo.

Andrea Chacón (my toquis) and I studied together in high school and when we graduated from high school she went to study architecture in Caracas and I studied dentistry in Anzoátegui. The distance that separated us was short, only about 5 hours by road and 25/30 min by plane. Thanks to this, we made the most of every opportunity we had to visit each other during those years.

Yo, no solamente iba algún fin de semana largo, durante todos nuestros años de estudios universitarios fui a celebrar con ella sus cumpleaños en Caracas y ella viajaba a Puerto la Cruz a celebrar los míos, así que eso hizo que no solamente nuestra amistad se hiciera cada vez más unida sino también que nos hiciéramos familia. Además ella conoció a todos mis amigos de la universidad y yo a los de ella, a esos grupos les decíamos “Team Ccs” o "Team Pto" dependiendo de la ciudad donde estuviéramos le cambiábamos el nombre al team jejeje.

I, not only went there on long weekends, during all our years of university studies I went to celebrate with her her birthdays in Caracas and she traveled to Puerto la Cruz to celebrate mine, so that not only made that our friendship became closer and closer but also that we became a family. She also met all my friends from the university and I met hers, we called those groups “Team Ccs” or “Team Pto” depending on the city where we were we changed the name of the team hehehehe.

Hoy les hablaré del team Caracas que está conformado por Mí toquis, Azarai y Daniel Tua (los mejores amigos de la carrera de mí toquis), Artur (el hermano de mí toquis), María Elena (la prima de mí toquis), cualquier otro amigo o familiar que se uniera a este grupo y yo, pero sin falta estaban todos los que ya les nombre. Juntos hicimos muchísimos viajes, compartimos demasiadas anécdotas, fiestas y aventuras, básicamente crecimos juntos.

Today I will tell you about the Caracas team which is made up of Mí toquis, Azarai and Daniel Tua (Mí toquis' best friends from his career), Artur (Mí toquis' brother), María Elena (Mí toquis' cousin), any other friend or family member who joined this group and me, but without fail there were all the ones I have already named. Together we made many trips, shared too many anecdotes, parties and adventures, basically we grew up together.

Daniel, Azarai y Andrea son arquitectos actualmente y por supuesto cuando yo estaba en Caracas los acompañaba a sus clases mientras estudiaban, así como cuando Andrea viaja a pto me acompañaba a mis clases o mis horas de clínica, por eso ella dice que es medio Odontólogo y yo digo que soy medio arquitecto.

Daniel, Azarai and Andrea are currently architects and of course when I was in Caracas I would accompany them to their classes while they were studying, as well as when Andrea travels to pto she would accompany me to my classes or my clinic hours, that is why she says she is half dentist and I say I am half architect.

A medida que fuimos creciendo y las responsabilidades dejaron de ser solo de estudios para convertirse en responsabilidades laborales, de familia y otras más. Los encuentros se han hecho cada año más distantes, sin embargo el cariño es el mismo. Pasamos de vernos cada 2 o 3 meses a vernos cada 2 o 3 años y si haber podido todavía reunir al team completo nuevamente en persona, porque tenemos a unos cuantos ejerciendo sus carreras de manera exitosa en otras partes del mundo. Sin embargo el deseo de poder reencontrarnos todos juntos sigue latente y más pronto que tarde se nos va a dar, sumándole ahora las parejas y familias de cada uno de nosotros.

As we grew up and the responsibilities stopped being only about studies and became work, family and other responsibilities. The meetings have become more distant every year, however the affection is the same. We went from seeing each other every 2 or 3 months to seeing each other every 2 or 3 years and without having been able to reunite the whole team again in person, because we have some of them successfully pursuing their careers in other parts of the world. However, the desire to be able to meet again all together is still latent and sooner rather than later it will happen, adding now the partners and families of each one of us.

Andrea es mas que mi amiga, mi hermana y el team ccs está conformado por su familia lo que la convierte también en la mía, así que siempre seguimos allí una pendiente de la otra y contando los días para volver a disfrutar de nuestros vinitos de reencuentro y momentos únicos como los que estamos acostumbradas a vivir.

Andrea is more than my friend, she is my sister and the ccs team is made up of her family, which makes her mine as well, so we are always there for each other and counting the days to enjoy our little reunion wines and unique moments like the ones we are used to live.

Doy gracias a Dios de haberme permitido tener una adolescencia y principio de adultez tan hermosa, rodeada de los mejores amigos y acumulando tantas experiencias que son las que hoy hacen que me sienta completa para vivir mis nuevas etapas. Mi mamá siempre me lo ha dicho desde niña, que para todo hay una edad y no es bueno saltarse las etapas. De adolescente no lo entendía mucho pero hoy en día que todavía me siento súper joven. Le agradezco tanto que se haya encargado de recalcarme eso porque tengo una familia maravillosa y unos amigos que son los mejores del mundo con los que comparto experiencias únicas que son las que me han convertido en lo que soy hoy, una mujer FELIZ. I thank God for having allowed me to have such a beautiful adolescence and early adulthood, surrounded by the best friends and accumulating so many experiences that make me feel complete to live my new stages. My mother has always told me since I was a child, that for everything there is an age and it is not good to skip stages. When I was a teenager I didn't understand it much, but today I still feel very young. I am so grateful that she has taken it upon herself to emphasize that to me because I have a wonderful family and friends who are the best in the world with whom I share unique experiences that are what have made me what I am today, a HAPPY woman.
