Curation Post Finder - Is this worth money? #12
This is a notable period in my personal life, but I will focus today on the activity at hand and reveal all my secrets on subsequent days! We are here, over 5 months on to full-time HIVE work, and we have a special release today - v0.1 of the Post Curation Tool - or PCT.
Read on to find out more about this tool - or even request one yourself!
View and Use the PCT Here!

So thanks to @friendlymoose, we were motivated to create a better curation feed. This great user, who manages his own #photography contest - desired to be able to filter "new" (or curateable) posts, see them, select them and vote on them easier. So he reached out to @team.mithril (me!) to do it.
He raised over 60 HBDs from the community, and initially I did make a quick prototype, which cost me 67 HBD to the prototyper who I like to work with. We made a quick tool, showed it to @friendlymoose and got his feedback. Its this tool that he was "sneak peeking" in the post above.
But based on his feedback, and the way the back end worked - honestly I didn't like it. It was not scaleable, and it had some front end issues, including load times. I scrapped that tool and started again. Version 0.0 is dead, long live Version 0.1!

So whether you want to curate by tag, or community, or author - this tool will only show the posts that are "good for voting", and our hearts (to vote) are color coded, red heart means its within 24 hours (best for voting), and purple hearts mean its still voteable, but outside the 24 hour window.
After discussing with @friendlymoose, there still may be a few features to add to this tool, but I am going through some major life upheavals, and so I decided to release it to all of you today - publically - to get some feedback. Is this what you imagined when you donated your HIVE and HBD to @friendlymoose? How could it be more useful to you?
Let us know!
We are active and eager participants in the HIVE ecosystem. Yes, of course we have our own secret plans, but a lot of what we do is working with other people, other users of this very same ecosystem, to make tools in such a way as to make everyone's life and workflow easier. You can participate in this process by providing your valuable feedback, through comments, votes or messages.
But you can also get your idea on "My Radar"
Don't forget that this all started as a sociological experiment. Sure, there are a lot of things I want to build. But - how can I know that they are useful? One way, is by synergizing with other builders. This is how the game MOON got built for example, and you can play that for FREE, right now, with or without a HIVE account.
Another way, is by taking suggestions from the community, with some friction of course. As my pipeline of work has filled up quite nicely; it only costs 250 ARCHON (~7.5 HIVE or about $1.58 USD at the time of posting), this is an incredibly low bar for getting my "expert" project manager feedback on an idea for a tool or service around the HIVE blockchain. So far, I have not let anyone down who has gone through the trouble of submitting an idea, everyone has gotten their "dollar's worth" - even frequently getting their tool made!
Take a look at the process:
If you want to get your idea on my radar*, pay attention:
- Get 250 ARCHON tokens
- Send them to @ecoinstant
- Use a fun memo
- Screenshot or copy the link to TX
- Leave a comment on the latest "Is this worth Money?" series of posts by @ecoinstant including:
A. Screenshot or txlink of payment
B. Your idea as simply and elegantly explained as you know how. (use the current radar as a guide)
*Getting on my radar in no way obligates or commits me to building your idea for free. This is my price for consideration.
What sort of things are on "My Radar"?
Currently the list looks like this:
I want to send Hive layer 1 tokens to accounts that hold my token. (never officially submitted, I just want to)
I want to send Hive-Engine tokens to accounts that hold my token. (in progress, now fixing up hive-engine and related libraries to do this, see progress)
I want to see all my posts, I want to print them (almost there...see v2...needs v3)
I want an "auto-badger" to follow accounts that meet certain hive-engine token conditions (working for PIMP, UI "in progress", working title: Auto-Badger)
I want to see and sort communities by data driven metrics. (Amazing progress, today's tool has community filters!: see also here)
I want an auto-voter that discriminates by tribe tag, that discriminates by hive-engine richlist. (Requires hive.vote replacement be built first, but that's on our internal list, so we accepted these challenges. @happyskull currently running)
We are also working with many other leaders and developers in the production of HIVE podcasts, including the HIVE Thrive series, which continues to interview leaders from around our HIVE blockchain, including recently - @mcsamm of the HIVE borehole project, check it out!
Among other allies, who you can often see being reblogged by me, follow @hivetoday for updates of all the great stuff going on, around the chain by movers and shakers like us. Let's keep building together, in an open and modular way. There is a lot to do, but we can do it if we work together - with SYNERGY!
How can you support the good work we are doing?

You can add your tool to the Open.Mithril HIVEtools project repository.
And as always, you can participate by getting your great idea added to "My Radar", instructions above.
Under app in PCT, is it only blogging frontends?
I hoped I could search for reward.app or commentrewarder, but its not nessercery apps though.. :D
Filter by beneficiary... I will look into this, at least its permanent data 🤔
That could be fun :D
I don't know how easy that would be though 🤔
Nice new tool again!!! Great work!
O me equivoco?
Es similar al Banklinker y el TAO, seguro esta pensando en una de estas!
Curators rejoice!! great job bro!
Just the few things I'm seeing you do I'm super impressed. It's so cool seeing you build actual tools the community needs. That collaboration with @friendlymoose sounds perfect, real problems are getting real solution.

Thanks for putting these together.
The advantage of such a tool is that we can easily do what we want to do, we don't have to search for many things.
Hola, feliz noche, excelente herramienta, mañana la pruebo y te comento mis impresiones.
Muchas gracias.

You guys are like a tool tornado! Excellent job on another very useful tool, my friend! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
Pretty useful tool. Working fine.
Looks like Peakd is set as the default front-end only. Is there any setting to change it to another front-end? I would love to open the link via Ecency.com!
Thanks.

I would like a real time feed of trades on the internal market naming the names of who is trading what.
Further this feed should be archived and searchable by date ranges.
The coders capable have had theirs' all along.
Only the non-coders can't get access to this feed created by/on the chain.
If hive is to be public, we need tools making this data available to all players, imo.
