Greetings, dear friends of the @throwbackthursday community, where every Thursday we take a trip down memory lane to relive those beautiful moments through images.

This time, I found these photographs among my files, which tell a beautiful story: a meeting between the members of the newly created family ministry to say goodbye to the person who, through their effort and dedication, managed to realize the dream of forming this group of servants made up of ten couples.

That was in 2009, at a well-known restaurant in the area, where we invited the priest to pay him a small tribute in gratitude for his work as a promoter of family ministry. Although we only had him for a short time, he earned the respect and admiration of all of us in the group.

I remember when we went on our first retreat as a pastoral group, the provincial father observed the performance of our spiritual guide and decided to take him to Caracas, which we did not like, as we were just beginning to function as a group.

We decided to send a letter to the provincial to prevent him from being transferred, but the letter had the opposite effect and we were left orphaned at that moment. However, the parish priest at the time represented us and took charge of continuing our pastoral formation until we became what we are today: a team of couples dedicated to caring for families in the parish community.

That night we enjoyed a delicious dinner with drinks, and each couple took photos with the priest that now serve as memories. The priest is currently abroad, but we still communicate from time to time on social media.

I like this community because every Thursday it helps me relive these happy moments, albeit with nostalgia because some of them are no longer physically here and others are in different parts of the world, but that's what life is all about.

TBT/ Imágenes que traen hermosos recuerdos

Saludos estimados amigos de la comunidad de los recuerdos @throwbackthursday, donde cada jueves nos dejamos llevar hacia el pasado para rememorar aquellos bonitos momentos a través de las imágenes.

En esta oportunidad encontré estas fotografías entre mis archivos, que relatan una hermosa historia: una reunión entre los integrantes de la pastoral familiar recién creada, para despedir precisamente a quien con su esfuerzo y dedicación logró materializar el sueño de formar este grupo de servidores integrado por diez parejas.

Eso fue en el año 2009, en un conocido restaurant de la zona, donde citamos al padre para hacerle un pequeño homenaje, en agradecimiento por su labor como promotor de la pastoral familiar. A pesar que lo tuvimos por muy poco tiempo, supo ganarse el respeto y admiración de todos los que formamos el grupo.

Recuerdo que cuando hicimos nuestro primer retiro como grupo pastoral, el padre provincial observó el desempeño de nuestro guía espiritual y decidió llevárselo a Caracas, lo cual no fue de nuestro agrado, pues recién comenzábamos a funcionar como grupo.

Decidimos enviarle una carta al provincial para evitar que lo trasladaran pero la carta causó el efecto adverso y quedamos huérfanos en ese momento. Sin embargo, el párroco de ese entonces nos representó y se encargó de continuar con nuestra formación pastoral hasta hacernos lo que ahora somos: Un equipo de parejas que se dedican a la atención de la familia en la comunidad parroquial.

Esa noche disfrutamos de una rica cena, con bebidas y cada pareja se tomó fotografías con el padre que hoy sirven para recordar. Actualmente el padre se encuentra en el exterior, pero de vez en cuando nos comunicamos por las redes sociales.

Me gusta esta comunidad porque cada jueves me ayuda a revivir estos episodios felices, aunque con nostalgia porque algunos de ellos han desaparecido físicamente y otros se encuentran en otros lugares del mundo, pero de eso se trata la vida.

Me despido hasta el próximo jueves.
