Cool Shades Along Sta. Fe

Magandang buhay!

A pretty busy Thursday in DD. Harvesting day for Mr. B & K, so we borrowed my brother's workmen (17 of them) for added hands. Thank goodness I didn't have to do things (cooking was taken care of by Mr. B), so Yongi and I had a super couch day.

My back is still hurting from the bad fall yesterday afternoon, while trying to reach some stuff from the top shelf in the storage. My own fault for using the chair instead of the ladder. Nothing serious, though. No broken bones or such, so I'll live through it. Just have to nurse it a bit (another reason to be lazy, lol!)

Anyway, let me share some really cool street art seen and photographed along the national highway along Sta. Fe, Nueva Viscaya (Cagayan Valley, Philippines) last month. These were taken in haste, as we could not slow down or stop. Thankfully, a feature on the phone camera lets me take moving photos (dynamic shots), which makes replaying possible, and I could select a better cover shot.

I couldn't check who the artist was or what theme the artwork is about, but I loved them. While the predominant color is blue, each piece is unique and features a cultural motif of living things (animals, people, plants, nature). Perhaps this was also part of the roadside beautification initiative, (started during the pandemic) which extends to various regions of the country.

Different species of feathered friends, even bugs, and such. Some of the colors are already fading, so the work must have been done four or five years ago. Thankfully, the details are still there.

There were plenty painted on that stretchy roadside wall, but with a speeding vehicle, I couldn't capture them all.

Deep inside, I felt a bit regretful while taking these last shots😊 But I'm still thankful to have seen them, even for a very short while. I am now wondering if they will ever do a retouch someday (I hope they will, and we would enjoy them again).

All photos are mine. 13112025/19:40ph

Beautiful art work. Now this I don't mind happening in cities etc compared to looking at a trash wall lol

The street art looks amazing even from a moving vehicle. Sad to hear some are fading, but glad you captured their beauty.

I just checked and the artwork was done in 2020, so it is quite natural that the paints are fading. Thank you❤️

17 helpers? You are big landlords lol how many fields you got?

That street art must have taken a while, it's pretty big and surely nature related

Would be nice to have more, so a day's work will be finished quickly. We are but small, compared to those with acres and acres of fields.

I found out the artwork was done in 2020.

Sounds like farmers selling their own products here, few fields and some trees

It’s awesome that you could take moving photos. That camera feature really saved the day, those artworks deserve to be seen, even on the go.

Street art looks good and I believe that passing by the road is enjoyable as nobody will feel bore if they see such beautiful artwork in the journey.

Beautiful walls with all these aniamls. It definitely deserves a fresh coat of paint to refresh the colors, as you say. Thanks for sharing these pics on The StreetArt Community.

I hope you're feeling better now... Have a great Sunday

The first image is gorgeous, I loved it, as well as the one with the birds. It's a shame that the painting is damaged. Best regards.
