Prayer is asking God to help us do what we cannot do by ourselves. Bro Eli Soriano told us that the meaning of prayer in the Bible is asking God to help us do the things that we cannot do. It is a way of relaying our needs and problems to God. Prayer is such a beautiful thing, when we know that we can tell God what we need and He will answer us lovingly.
In the world, we have several needs. That is the kind of world that we live in. It is an imperfect world. There are problems and needs. We always need God to help us. And the good thing about this is that our God is a loving and caring God. We have a Father who is willing to hear us and to supply us with our needs.
James 1:6 (KJV) But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
Bro Eli Soriano explained to us that when we want to pray, we should have faith. We should believe that the God we are praying to is able to answer us. We should not have doubts. Anyone who doubts will not be able to receive his request from God.
God is a supplier of all our needs, all we need to do is to ask in prayer.
