The courtship in marital relationship is an important part of a relationship which is intended to become a marital union. During courtship, we try to understand each other. Don't forget that intending couples are two people who have been living the greater part of their lives in separate settings. They do not know many things about each other. So, there's a pressing need for them to have some time to get along with each other and understand teach other.

The season of courtship is a tempting time. It is a tempting time because the human flesh is lustful in the greater part. We do not know why it is so, but generally, animals can't stay together without being sexually aroused if they are of the opposite sex. So, this single emotional breach makes it unacceptable for intending couples to spend time together in secret (especially in the night).

We must understand that fornication is a sin which God frown at seriously. Every thing that is sexual immorality is not acceptable with God. Therefore, unmarried people are all warned to avoid undue closeness during courtship. We must strive to maintain holiness because the Bible advices that we should be holy as our Father in heaven is holy.
