El crecimiento lo da Dios. -- Growth is given by God.

Today's text keeps us grounded and at the same time lifts our gaze to heaven. The apostle Paul tells us in other words: do not think yourselves better than you are because of the things you do, because ultimately, the one who gives life to all things is God.

God gives us the ability to decide, to sow, others can water, we can put all our strength, strategies, different investments, and everything else into it to make it grow, but the real result, which is growth, is only given by God.

We can work all the time doing good works and doing the best we think we do, but if God is not the one breathing life into those works, or if they are not inspired by Him, none of them will flourish, much less bear fruit. Therefore, we must always keep in mind that when something flourishes and bears fruit, it is because God has allowed it.

So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but God who makes it grow.

1 Corinthians 3:7

El texto de hoy nos hace poner los pies sobre la tierra y a la misma vez nos hace elevar la mirada a los cielos. El apóstol Pablo nos dice en otras palabras: no se crean más de los que son por las cosas que hacen porque al final de todo el que da vida a todas las cosas es Dios.

Dios nos da la capacidad de decidir, de sembrar, otros pueden regar, nosotros podemos ponerle todas las fuerzas, las estrategias las diferentes inversiones y todo para que crezca pero el resultado real que es el crecimiento sólo lo da Dios.

Nosotros podemos trabajar todo el tiempo en hacer buenas obras y hacer lo mejor que creemos que hacemos pero si Dios no es quien sopla aliento de vida en esas obras o no están inspiradas por el nada de eso florecerá y mucho menos traerá fruto por eso debemos tener siempre en cuenta que cuando florece y lleva fruto es porque Dios permitió.

Así que ni el que planta es algo, ni el que riega, sino Dios, que da el crecimiento.

1 Corintios 3:7
