What Is The Purpose Of Human Life?

Hello friends, Today I want to share my lesson learned in this topic—“the purpose of human life.” In the scriptures, God made Jeremiah understand that before he was formed in the womb of his mother, HE knew the perfect plan for his life (Jeremiah chapter 1, verse 5).

This makes us understand the supremacy of God! Since HE is our creator, HIS ideal plan is that we should be doers of good works that are predestined by HIM for us to walk in. In the discussion, Bro. Eli stated clearly that the purpose of life is what God had purposed it to be. When we hear about GOD, we hear “purpose.” In the bible, Ephesians 3:10 says—

To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

This means that whatever GOD does, HE has a definite purpose for it, and it is not in vain for what HE wants to do. One of them is our life. Probably you may be asking generally about human life: What is the purpose of human life? Before then, we need to understand that the purpose of animal and plant life was to sustain human life as recorded in Genesis 1:29—

And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

Note the word “…to you it shall be for meat.” So, the purpose of animal life, plant life, marine life, and everything that exists is to sustain human life. Going further, why are these beings sustaining human life? Bro Eli gave an answer in the book of Ephesians 2:10.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

The scripture above makes us understand that the purpose of human life is to do what God wills us to do, and that is to do the good works that "...God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

Additionally, II Timothy 3:17 says – “That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” Brother Eli emphasized that it is God's will that we may be doers of good works, that we may be perfect.

Wow! I love the points you are making. This means we need to submit to the creator who created us
