Trust in the word of God surpasses everything. || La confianza en la palabra de Dios supera todo.

The reality that we live and see DOES NOT condition faith in God's promises. He ALWAYS keeps what he has promised.

As Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, beseeching him, 6 and saying, Lord, my servant is lying prostrate at home, paralyzed, severely tormented. 7 And Jesus said to him, I will go and heal him. 8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof; Just say the word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I also am a man under authority, and I have soldiers under me; and I say to this one: Go, and go; and to the other: Come, and it comes; and to my servant: Do this, and he does it. 10 When Jesus heard this, he marveled, and said to those who followed him, Truly I say to you, not even in Israel have I found such faith. 13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, Go, and let it be done for you as you have believed. And his servant was healed in that same hour.

Matthew 8:5-10, 13

At the end of the Sermon on the Mount by Our Lord Jesus Christ, he thus embarked on a journey to Capernaum, on the way, more precisely a centurion approached him asking for the healing of his servant, he was tormented, at this moment the Lord Jesus Christ offered the centurion to accompany him to his house to heal his servant.

What's surprising here? Let us remember that in those times the culture considered that Jews could not enter a Roman house, this was totally prohibited with them, in fact it was impossible for a Jew to talk to a Roman soldier, but this is how it is described in the word as it happened.

Something even more surprising was that this centurion expressed that he was not worthy of receiving the company of the Lord Jesus Christ but understood at the same time that only his word would be enough to heal his offspring. This demonstrates the faith of this centurion at that moment but above all the certainty that a single word from the Lord can heal, that is: the Lord Jesus Christ will fulfill what he promised. Even if society or the standard says otherwise, we must believe despite everything, even when we continue waiting for the answer to arrive we must continue waiting with faith.

This faith that was demonstrated by this centurion despite the cultural paradigms allowed the result, this was the following: the response to the centurion has been "Go and as you believed, it will be done for you."

Sometimes when we keep the Lord's response we tend to despair of at least receiving some sign that he will act on what we have asked of him, but our job is to wait confident that all the hour that the Lord will do is only For our good even when it is not what we expect, we must pay attention to his word and remain attentive to his work in us, which is always for our good.

La realidad que vivimos y que vemos NO condiciona la fe en las promesas de Dios. él SIEMPRE cumple lo que ha prometido.

Entrando Jesús en Capernaum, vino a él un centurión, rogándole, 6 y diciendo: Señor, mi criado está postrado en casa, paralítico, gravemente atormentado. 7 Y Jesús le dijo: Yo iré y le sanaré. 8 Respondió el centurión y dijo: Señor, no soy digno de que entres bajo mi techo; solamente di la palabra, y mi criado sanará. 9 Porque también yo soy hombre bajo autoridad, y tengo bajo mis órdenes soldados; y digo a este: Ve, y va; y al otro: Ven, y viene; y a mi siervo: Haz esto, y lo hace. 10 Al oírlo Jesús, se maravilló, y dijo a los que le seguían: De cierto os digo, que ni aun en Israel he hallado tanta fe.13 Entonces Jesús dijo al centurión: Ve, y como creíste, te sea hecho. Y su criado fue sanado en aquella misma hora.

Mateo 8:5-10, 13

Al finalizar el sermón del monte por parte de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo así emprendió viaje a Capernaum, en el camino, más precisamente un centurión se le acercó pidiendo por la sanidad de su criado, éste estaba atormentado, en este momento el señor Jesucristo le ofreció al centurión acompañarle a su casa para sanar a su criado.

¿Que es lo sorprendente aquí? Recordemos que en aquellos tiempos la cultura consideraba que los judíos no podían ingresar a una casa romana, esto era totalmente prohibido con ellos, de hecho era imposible que un judío hable con un soldado romano, pero esto así está descrito en la palabra como sucedió.

Algo aún más sorprendente fue que este centurión expresó que no era digno de recibir la compañía del señor Jesucristo pero entendió a la vez que solamente la palabra de él sería suficiente para sanar a su cría. Esto demuestra la fe en ese momento de este centurión pero sobretodo la certeza en que una sola palabra del señor puede sanar, es decir: el señor Jesucristo cumplirá lo que prometió. Aunque la sociedad o el estándar diga lo contrario, nosotros debemos creer a pesar de todo, aún cuando seguimos esperando a que llegue la respuesta debemos seguir esperando con fe.

Esta fe que fue demostrada por este centurión a pesar de los paradigmas culturales permitió el resultado, este fue el siguiente: la respuesta al centurión ha sido "Ve y así como creíste, te será hecho".

En ocasiones cuando guardamos la respuesta del señor solemos desesperarnos por por lo menos recibir alguna señal que el obrará acerca de lo que le hemos pedido, pero nuestra labor es esperar confiados en que toda la hora que el señor hará es solamente para nuestro bien aún cuando no es lo que esperamos, debemos prestar atención a su palabra y a guardar atentos a su obra en nosotros que siempre es para nuestro bien.
