Necesitamos ser verdaderos amigos. || We need to be true friends.

We talk about friendship, we are talking about the genuine commitment of mutual love and respect towards other people, whom we consider friends.

10 Love one another with brotherly love; in honor, preferring one another. 11 In diligence, not lazy; fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, constant in prayer; 13 sharing in the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.

Romans 12:10-13

Let's remember for a moment and ask ourselves not the following: how many true friends do I have? Maybe they are many or maybe they are few, but the reality is that it is not easy to have true friends, that is: friends who are at our side in any situation, such as the most difficult moments of our lives.

This is what God wants from us and for us, even if it is difficult to cultivate, we can see a biblical example regarding David and Jonathan, this story shows us an example of genuine friendship based on commitment, love and respect and having this friendship of David and Jonathan we can examine the components to carry out this type of friendship.

We read 1 Samuel: 18.20 the x-ray of the friendship between David and Jonathan.

First of all we must know that all people were created by the same God, God created us in his image and likeness and has deposited his love, his nature in what he created, in man, all people are the image of God. If this is not enough let us remember that Jesus Christ himself died in sacrifice for all the people of the world, even those who do not recognize him as savior or simply limit themselves to denying him, all are valuable to God.

8 But God demonstrates his own love toward us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:8

With this in mind, we can think and consider people in a closer way. Let's think about the high esteem that David had for his friend Jonathan. Here, the admiration and respect for the qualities of his friend is evident. We see all of this expressed through the words of the Bible.

In this picture, we can say that the fundamental bases for a true friendship begins with knowing that all people have been created in the image of God and Jesus Christ has died for all human beings. Keeping in mind the question asked at the beginning, those whom we consider true friends: do they have attributes that we respect and value? Do these people whom we consider friends admire characteristics of us? The fundamental basis for maintaining a friendship is mutual respect. From here, we can say that we can develop a true friendship according to the word of God.

Hablamos de amistad estamos hablando del compromiso genuino del amor mutuo y respeto hacia otras personas, a los que consideramos amigos.

10 Amaos los unos a los otros con amor fraternal; en cuanto a honra, prefiriéndoos los unos a los otros. 11 En lo que requiere diligencia, no perezosos; fervientes en espíritu, sirviendo al Señor; 12 gozosos en la esperanza; sufridos en la tribulación; constantes en la oración; 13 compartiendo para las necesidades de los santos; practicando la hospitalidad.

Hagamos memoria por un instante y preguntemos no lo siguiente ¿cuántos amigos verdaderos tengo? Quizás sean muchos o quizás sean poco, pero la realidad es que no es nada fácil tener verdaderos amigos es decir: amigos que se encuentren a nuestro lado en cualquier situación, como los momentos más difíciles de nuestras vidas.

Esto es lo que Dios quiere de nosotros y para nosotros, aún si es difícil de cultivar, podemos ver un ejemplo bíblico con respecto a David y Jonatán, esta historia nos muestra un ejemplo de amistad genuina basados en el compromiso, amor y respeto y teniendo esta amistad de David y Jonatán podemos examinar los componentes para llevar adelante este tipo de amistad.

Leemos 1 Samuel: 18.20 la radiografía de la amistad entre David y Jonatán.

Primer lugar debemos saber que todas las personas fueron creadas por el mismo Dios, Dios nos creó a su imagen y semejanza y ha depositado su amor, su naturaleza en lo que él creó, en el hombre, todas las personas son imagen de Dios. Si esto no es suficiente recordemos que el mismo Jesucristo murió en sacrificio por todas las personas del mundo, incluso aquellos que no le reconocen como salvador o simplemente se limitan a negarle, todos son valiosos para Dios.

8 Mas Dios muestra su amor para con nosotros, en que siendo aún pecadores, Cristo murió por nosotros.

Romanos 5:8

Teniendo en mente esto, podemos pensar y considerar a las personas de una forma más cercana, pensemos en la alta estima que tenía David por su amigo Jonatán, aquí se evidencia la admiración y respeto por las cualidades de su amigo, todo esto lo vemos expresado a través de las palabras de la biblia.

En este cuadro podemos decir que las bases fundamentales para una verdadera amistad comienza por saber que todas las personas han sido creada la imagen de Dios y Jesucristo ha muerto por todos los seres humanos. Teniendo en mente la pregunta hecha a principio, aquellos a quienes consideramos verdaderos amigos: ¿tienen atributos lo que nosotros respetamos y valoramos? ¿Estas personas que consideramos amigos admiran características de nosotros? La base fundamental para conservar una amistad es el respeto mutuo, desde aquí podemos decir que podemos desarrollar una verdadera amistad conforme a la palabra de Dios.
