La iglesia "No es una iglesia". || The church "is not a church."

You and I and each one of those who make up the body of Christ is endowed with power from the Holy Spirit to go and make disciples of the whole world preaching the gospel.

18 And he is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that in all things he may have the preeminence;

When people actually hear the word "church" the first thing they imagine is some kind of building, but the reality is that church is much more than that.

18 You are Peter,[a] and on this rock I will build my church, and the powers of hell will not prevail against it.

Matthew 16:18

Here we can see the Lord Jesus Christ himself speaking of what a church would be, you are talking about something far beyond a structure, the Lord Jesus Christ was referring directly to the body of Christ, of which each believer is a member of that body. Let us remember in the book of Acts that the church began on the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit descended to anoint Christians and begin what we call church today, the church extends to our days and the Lord Jesus Christ himself adds new believers day after day.

5 you too are like living stones, with which a spiritual house is being built. In this way you become a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices that God accepts through Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 2:5

The main function of the church as a ministry here on earth and as the body of Jesus Christ is through the capacity and power of the Holy Spirit to carry out the work that God has designated, each member of the church has the mission to bring people to the knowledge of the Savior Jesus Christ and make disciples, preaching the word of God and teaching so that each believer grows in the Lord.

19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit;

Matthew 28:19

Each one of us as believers, as children of God filled with the Holy Spirit and members of the body of Christ, have the mission of spreading the gospel and that many may know the truth but Gospel, not all of us have the same job or the same function within the body of Christ. Let us ask God to show us what our ministry is, our work within the church to build up the body of Christ.

Cuando en realidad las personas escuchan la palabra " iglesia " lo primero que se imaginan es una especie de edificio, pero la realidad es que iglesia es mucho más que eso.

18 Tú eres Pedro,[a] y sobre esta roca edificaré mi iglesia, y los poderes del infierno no prevalecerán contra ella.

Mateo 16:18

Acá podemos ver al mismo señor Jesucristo hablando de lo que sería una iglesia, estás hablando de algo mucho más allá de una estructura, el señor Jesucristo se refería directamente al cuerpo de Cristo cuyo cada creyente es miembro de ese cuerpo. Recordemos en el libro de los hechos que la iglesia comenzó a partir del día del Pentecostés cuando el espíritu Santo descendió para ungir a los cristianos y dar inicio a lo que hoy llamamos iglesia, la iglesia se extiende hasta nuestros días y el mismo señor Jesucristo día tras día añade a nuevos creyentes.

5 también ustedes son como piedras vivas, con las cuales se está edificando una casa espiritual. De este modo llegan a ser un sacerdocio santo, para ofrecer sacrificios espirituales que Dios acepta por medio de Jesucristo.

1 Pedro 2:5

La función principal de la iglesia como ministerio aquí en la tierra y como cuerpo de Jesucristo es a través de la capacidad y poder del espíritu Santo llevar el trabajo que Dios ha designado, cada miembro de la iglesia tiene como misión traer a las personas al conocimiento del Salvador Jesucristo y hacer discípulos, predicando la palabra de Dios y enseñando para que cada creyente crezca en el señor.

19 Por tanto, id, y haced discípulos a todas las naciones, bautizándolos en el nombre del Padre, y del Hijo, y del Espíritu Santo;

Cada uno de nosotros como creyentes, como hijos de Dios llenos del espíritu Santo y miembros del cuerpo de Cristo tenemos como misión expandir el evangelio y que muchos conozcan de la verdad pero Evangelio, no todos tenemos el mismo trabajo o la misma función dentro del cuerpo de Cristo.
