Lights dancing in the sky ✨

In this period of preparation for the great holiday of Christmas, light cannot be absent from our sight. ✨ That is why we also have a monthly theme in the Hive Collectors community, Christmas lights to search for, share and enjoy the Christmas lights and decorations that we see around us. 😉

Wrapped in the warmth of peace, we see homes and cities illuminated in the distance, in the darkness. In the sky, lights dance to the joyful and majestic sounds that also contribute to the whole atmosphere, bringing their own meaning to those who can recognise this music. Gloria in excelsis Deo, also known as the Hymn of the Angels, was played yesterday in the square in front of the city hall in Valencia, accompanied by the fireworks display, which you can also see if you wish in the video below. It is just a part of the show, but I stopped recording it after some time as I wanted to focus on it without holding my phone.

I happened to be here with my son yesterday afternoon while searching for the Christmas lights collection that this city wears on its streets, trees, buildings, lamposts, and windows. I promised in my announcement post of the theme that I would go there, so here we are, with this nice decoration. The firework was just an extra, a cool surprise, as I didn't expect it.

There were so many people in the city centre yesterday afternoon. Too many, but somehow I didn't mind. The children had as their goal to get to the carousel, which was, by the way, a very nice and elegant one.

There was also a very long line to get to the ice skating rink placed on the square in front of the city hall. However, my mission was to find the items that match this monthly theme. For that, I had to focus on looking up towards the sky.

Huge stars were hanging between the buildings, made of yellow/orange strings of lights. Under them, thousands of people were strolling, talking, taking photos and enjoying the joy and buzz of this season.

To take this photo, I stood under the centre of this five-pointed star and looked up at it. My son liked the result when he saw my photo. I like it too, although I know it could be better in many aspects. Also, we are here to feel the moment, fill our hearts with light and not to judge, I hope. 😁

And then, Lady Christmas Tree was also spotted. It is quite tall, almost as tall as the towers of the city hall. To take a selfie with it... almost an impossible task 😂, so my son and I got one attempt and walked away, to the quieter streets.

Speaking about streets, they also had string lights. I didn't take a photo of all of them on our walk, just a few, plus some of them came out blurry; those I will not include in the post.

The fancy restaurants also had their decoration. For example, this Christmas Tree was standing in the entrance of one of the high-end restaurants. Still, it wasn't the one that impressed me the most.

In my opinion, the absolute winner of the Christmas light decoration for a restaurant among those I saw yesterday is the Nederland 1814 Restaurant.

They had a full collection of illuminated reminders that we are in December. On every window and on the walls between the windows, there were red bows and little houses, ballerinas, reindeer, angels, tin soldiers and a pair of big red boots with candy canes in the entrance.

I was more than happy with this Christmas light hunt and with the time spent with the young man who accompanied me! 😇
