Travel trinkets that bring back memories

A trip is the best gift you can afford, and when the trip is over, everything beautiful remains in the memories we have of the same.

And memories can store various things:
Photos and stories that always find their way to #travel communities, so we immortalize them forever in #Worldmmappin and #travelfeed.

Magnets, souvenirs and postcards that we buy on those trips.

But also all those little things that come to our hands on a trip, without perhaps even realizing it (at that moment we don't realize that it will also be a memory from the trip).
Flyers and brochures, maps, tickets, bus, train and subway tickets.

Anything that has to do with the trip you've been on, when you look at it after a while, it will bring back memories of those moments.

I have travel guides in my library that I bought before going on trips.

This was at the beginning of my travels, later I switched to online research, but now I understand that it was a mistake and that the only right and right thing is to have books like this, which will be your perfect friend, both before the trip, to get to know the region and the city you are traveling to, and during your stay in the city, when you can return to marked parts again and again, but also later, when those interesting books save memories from your trip.

Ahead of the holiday season, for this month's theme, the presentation in #HiveCollectors of those small, secondary and everyday travel details, Reminders of your travel, chosen by @mipiano.

Because of this topic, it was very easy for me to find travel guides, which are in the library, but that's why I had to search through drawers with small things all over the apartment, in order to get to the rest of the collected details that I will present in this post.

How much there is, I should have divided into several posts, because I will again receive the epithet "DuskoBgd, with the most collected travel reminders" 🤣.

The travel guides that we bought for planning tours, in addition to the items marked with a pencil, have an added value for memories -
Handwritten pieces of paper, on which we recorded our tour plans.

I can't remember the chronology of the trip now, the letters on the tickets and tickets are small 🙂 , so I'll go in order, whichever guide comes to hand 🙂

Rome
Among our first travels.

A flight by plane and already after a few hours, a walk along the Colosseum.

From the airport to the Termini station, where our hotel was located, we went by bus and as a souvenir, we kept the tickets.

I also left a paper bag from Rome in which postcards were packed, which we sent to our parents and friends.

I'm sorry I don't have a ticket for the Forum or the Colosseum saved, it's either buried somewhere else in boxes or thrown away in the meantime.

Moscow
This was probably the most demanding tour of a city. The reason? The size of the city.

Wherever you go in Moscow, and there are many things to see, there is a long distance waiting for you that you have to cover on foot.

Even if you use the perfect metro network with beautiful metro stations.

During that tour, we visited the Kremlin, some of the big and important churches, some of the museums (Battle of Borodino), the open-air Victory over Fascism museum, and in addition to the museum and church flyers, we were left with maps, train tickets, and a napkin as souvenirs.

Madrid and Toledo

It's strange to me, but I haven't found a single piece of paper, map or brochure from this trip. And we visited some places for which we bought tickets, we took transport in both Madrid and Toledo, but no, I didn't find anything.
For that reason, this travel guide is even more valuable to me, because it is a reminder of that trip.
And the pins I left on #worldmappin are also valuable to me, so you can see what we visited in Madrid and Toledo 😀

Barcelona

We had special preparations for Barcelona, which we visited twice. And it is not surprising, given the size of the city and the locations and attractions that can be visited in that city.
It's clearly full of attractions, judging by the number of cards we took from the hotel reception.

Squares, parks, temples, buildings, wherever you go, you can take a piece of paper, a flyer, an advertisement with you, but since the luggage is limited due to air travel, on such demanding trips, we avoid collecting everything we can get our hands on.

As the city where Antonio Gaudi lived and created, his works are certainly the most interesting, so we took a small book and a few postcards as souvenirs.

Amsterdam
The city with hundreds of bridges left a strong impression on us.

We walked the streets of Amsterdam and took photos in areas where it is not prohibited (🙂 here I mean the red light zone), and according to the transport tickets that remained with me as a memory, it is clear that we also visited the Zaanse Schans, a location very interesting for tourists, with original windmills, mills, a workshop for making clogs and cheeses.

Prague

As for Prague, I seem to have missed this bag of brochures, tickets, maps and train tickets during the sorting process. So now I have an interesting collection, probably the strongest for this topic 🙂
And maybe because we were in Prague and twice for several days, so we visited both sides of the city along and across.

In Prague, it seems as if I lived, because I also visited markets where I bought groceries, so for a moment I felt like a resident of this beautiful city (real cesky)

This is supported by the number of tickets for public transport. There are zone tickets, as well as bus tickets from the airport to the city center.

Istanbul
I have been to Istanbul several times.

I also have fond memories of that city, but apart from detailed plans to visit the sites, I haven't found a single ticket or brochure, only my travel guide.

From certain trips, I would take sheets of paper for notebooks from the hotels where we stayed, from Valencia I only have used metro tickets.

From Malta, also a transport card, as well as souvenirs from Popeye Village.

I have a few parking tickets, another transport ticket, funicular ticket, a ticket to enter Milan's Duomo, and also proof of purchase in Sirmione, on Lago di Garda in Italy.

The maps and little things I have from Greece, where we go almost every year, sometimes twice, I would not particularly present. I learned the maps and everything that would remind me of a trip, I put under: "Enjoyment on the seashore and in the water".

In order not to neglect the region, when we went to Croatia and Zagreb, I equipped myself with maps and brochures and on the map I marked places known to most of us, Dubrovnik, Split, Pag and Pula🙂

Now, with this thread and the post I'm writing, I realize the importance and value of those little things from travel.

And I hope that some of the next topics will include real travel souvenirs, if there hasn't already been such a topic in some of the previous months?

We'll see 🙂
Until the next monthly collection theme or some random collection, I salute you, Hive collectors!

That's one hell of a collection! :))

I always trash these, though, I prefer memories over trinkets :))

A bag from your Prague survived, with a bunch of receipts, brochures and used cards 🙂
And from the notepad I took from the hotel, I remembered where I was staying 😀

I set a high standard for myself😁

So I'm either not in the monthly topics (when I have nothing to post) or the posts are all similar to this one 🙂
