My art related white T-shirt collection! ๐
I just realized that I'm almost late to get along with the community initiative of the month, but I guess it's just the perfect timing. Happens that I realized I had this collection yesterday (too many realizations nowadays, don't you think? ๐) so I organized everything to sit down and bring here this post.
I put in the title that my T-shirt collection is art related, but that doesn't mean that they have printed paintings, not exactly. They are art related because of their history, wich I'm going to share now. I'll ask for an apology because I'm not good at folding, and my bedroom was a mess so the pictures are a little messy...
I also said that all the shirts were white. This first one is completely white, as you can see. When I joined Vox Lucis Choir it was given to me as a part of our uniform in order to wear it at informal performances. Sadly we are not wearing them anymore, so I keep it to combine casual outfits.
This other one is actually from my mother, I just wear it sometimes because I love its design. It's amazing! My mother works in a tourism agency that is also part of a big enterprise of cuban culture, so she's always involved in many events (and that's the reason why she also has a huge collection of art related white shirts too). The point is, she got these because she worked with the organizing committee of the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema. Did I already said that I love this design? I think it's the best I have ever seen, at least in festivals.
Over here is one that I frequently use. I got it past year because of the Vox Lucis Choir too. We were going to participate in a Festival of University Artists in Matanzas, and the Medicine College gave them to us, in order to represent the delegation of our city. This shirt immediately reminds me of those days that were fulfilled with joy, I guess that's why I love wearing it.
This is the one that I wasn't really expecting. One day a friend call me because he had an intervention on a workshop of art critic and I decided to meet him there. It turns out that I was in one of the most important gatherings for artists and intellectuals of the whole year, the "Living Art Workshop", that this year was dedicated to the art critic. The welcoming was a complete accreditation that included a file with office supplies, a keychain (wich I showed up in my last post on the community) and the shirt. It is huge, bit since oversize outfits are trending, I use it anyways ๐.
And here comes my favorite! The man in the picture (I mean, in the shirt) is Pepe Sรกnchez. He is one of the most outstanding figures in the history of Cuban trova. So in April there's a Festival to honour his work, and this year I got the opportunity to participate in it. I don't sing trova, but thanks to the Sรกiz Brothers Association (AHS, in Spanish) I was able to fit in a space where they mixed trova and poetry. I love the way they kept simple the design of the shirt, no letters needed.
This must have been unconscious, but I left for the end the last shirt that I got. Now I was the one working on organizng committees, so I got the shirt of the "Disconnected to 969" Festival. This is a theatre festival of the Brothers Sรกiz Association and it was celebrated just a week ago. It was awesome to get to know how people of other countries feel and work about this.
I hope you enjoyed this over-explanation of my shirt collection (it was so hard to write ๐). See you soon on the next month initiative. Bye!

All with a story to tell and all related to art, I think that makes them even more special ๐
T-shirts tell a lot about the personality and tastes of a person, I think that here we are very clear hehe
Greetings!
