Ojojo which means water yam balls is a popular Yoruba dish or snacks made from the grafted water yam and I really loved it. It's been a while since I do a specific cooking in the kitchen unless I want to assist my wife but during this weekend I am very busy in the kitchen to prepare one of my favorites dish/snacks called Ojojo (Water Yam Balls) and below 👇 are the steps I took to make the so called Yoruba dish/snacks called Ojojo.

The ingredients I used while preparing Ojojo (Water Yam Balls) are as following...

  • water yam
  • pepper
  • onion & seasoning
  • palm oil for frying
  • salt

Salt

Those are the ingredients above are what I used while making my delicious dish) snacks called Ojojo in Yoruba (water yam balls). Though if you want to prepare this kind of dish, their are still many ingredients you can used depends on your choice. You can use finely chopped bonnet pepper instead of grinded peppers, though I have to used the grinded peppers because it's what available during the time of preparing the delicacy. And you can also use crayfish or used vegetables oil for frying depending on your choice like I said earlier.

The next after I have gotten all the ingredients needed is to start preparing as soon as possible.

Preparation

The first I have to do is to peel the water yam, wash and then grate it using my plastic grater

I have peeled the water yam and cut it in to small size for easy grating

After done with the peeling, washed and grated the water yam, then the next thing is to add my ingredients such as chopped onions, seasoning, salt, pepper and mixed it together very well

The next thing is to start frying the grated water yam since I have already add and mixed it well with the ingredients needed.
