The Butterfly Effect [Review] ESP/ENG
I've always wanted to read this book, so now that I've had the chance, I wanted to share my humble opinion with you. It's not a novel, but rather a work that will help you with personal development, since the author based it on the popular chaos theory, which states that small variations can cause large differences in results. There's also an old Chinese proverb that says, "The gentle flapping of a butterfly's wings can be felt on the other side of the planet," but all of this can be applied to our daily lives, understanding that even the simplest things that might seem "insignificant" can have a very important effect on those around them.
Desde siempre quise leer este libro, así que ahora que llegó mi oportunidad quise compartir con ustedes mi humilde opinión. No es una novela, sino más bien una obra que te ayudará en el desarrollo personal, ya que el autor se basó en la popular teoría del caos que afirma que pequeñas variaciones pueden provocar grandes diferencias en los resultados, aunque también hay un viejo proverbio chino que dice: "El suave aleteo de una mariposa se puede sentir al otro lado del planeta" pero todo esto se puede aplicar a nuestra vida cotidiana entendiendo que hasta la cosas más sencillas que podrían parecernos "insignificantes" pueden tener un efecto muy importante a su alrededor.
An example of this could be Hitler's own life. The dictator, as a child, was rejected not once but twice by the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts. This generated a great resentment in him that gradually spread, and we know how things ended. So, possibly, if he had been accepted, he might have focused his emotions on art instead of trying to possess the world.
Un ejemplo de esto podría ser la propia vida de Hitler, el dictador, cuando él era niño fue rechazado n una sino dos veces Academia de Bellas Artes de Viena, esto generó un gran rencor en él que paulatinamente se fue extendiendo y ya sabemos como terminaron las cosas, así que posiblemente, de ser aceptado tal vez hubiese enfocado sus emociones en el arte en lugar de intentar poseer el mundo.
In this way, the author indicates that, just as in chaos theory, our entire lives are influenced by small initial events that generated large changes in the future (decisions of our parents, our own decisions, unexpected events, etc.). For example, when my father died, I was eleven years old. My brother and I were the oldest of eight siblings, so we had to enter the workforce very early, which gradually distanced us from our studies. So perhaps today I could have a profession; I don't know. Maybe I would have been a lawyer or who knows what, although I also really liked to write, something I also gave up over time to be focused on my responsibilities. But it is true that all those decisions or events can drastically change our lives.
De esta manera el autor nos indica que así mismo, como en la teoría del caos, toda nuestra vida está influenciada por pequeños eventos iniciales que generaron grandes cambios a futuro (decisiones de nuestros padres, decisiones propias, eventos inesperados etc) Por ejemplo, cuando mi padre murió yo tenía once años, siendo mi hermano y yo los mayores de ocho hermanos, tuvimos que incorporarnos a la vida laboral muy temprano, lo cuál fue alejándonos paulatinamente de los estudios, así que tal vez hoy en día yo podría tener una profesión, no lo sé, tal vez hubiese sido abogado o quien sabe qué, aunque también me gustaba mucho escribir, algo que también dejé con el tiempo por estar enfocado en mis responsabilidades, pero es verdad que todas esas decisiones o eventos pueden cambiar drásticamente nuestras vidas.
In this sense, the author invites us through his essay to see life as a kind of "decision laboratory," using techniques inspired by the "Hermetic Circle" of the Swiss psychiatrist and psychotherapist Carl Jung, who founded analytical psychology. These techniques promise to influence the readers' future if they use conscious thought control. I'm not yet sure if this is effective or not, but as they say, thoughts and words have power, so we have nothing to lose by filling ourselves with positive thoughts and declaring blessings for our lives. Perhaps in this way we can begin to change our attitude, leading us to more productive and fruitful actions that result in what we so deeply desire to attract.
En este sentido el autor nos invita a través de su ensayo a ver la vida como una especie de "laboratorio de decisiones" usando técnicas inspiradas en el "Círculo Hermético" del psiquiatra y psicoterapeuta suizo Carl Jung, quien fue el que fundó la psicología analítica. Estas técnicas prometen influir en el futuro de los lectores si utilizan el control consciente de los pensamientos. No estoy seguro aún de si esto es efectivo o no, pero tal como dicen por ahí: el pensamiento y la palabra tienen poder, así que no perdemos nada con llenarnos de pensamientos positivos y decretar bendiciones para nuestra vida, quizá así comencemos a cambiar de actitud, lo que nos lleve a acciones más productivas y fructíferas que deriven en eso que tanto deseamos atraer.
The book is truly interesting because it helps you consider a change in your life and mindset, making you aware that you yourself can influence someone else's life. En una película, o más bien saga con ese mismo título, se explotan esas ideas de como una acción pequeña en un momento determinado puede causar grandes cambios en el futuro.

Hey, everything you say is so strong. The truth is that I haven't read this book, but you left me thinking for a long time with the idea that even the smallest flutter changes the course of everything. I was very moved by what you shared about your dad and how you had to suddenly mature at age eleven to help with your siblings. It's the most real and raw example of the butterfly effect I've ever heard, because although it took you away from law or professional writing at the time, it made you the pillar of your family.
Exactly, the slightest change can completely alter the course of things. That's why when I came across that book and started reading it, I realized that things like this happen in our lives and sometimes we don't take them into account, without knowing how important even the most "insignificant" decisions or changes can be.
