Book review: Evita Ramparte, The bliss of cancer
I admit that I bought this book with the hope of finding a miraculous recipe to help me get rid of my own cancer when I was still having to deal with my first oncologist. Then from my initial thought I evolved into "I wonder how was her experience of the big C." I began to look for this woman on the internet and it seems she just disappeared. It is very strange to read about an author who released a book that sold a lot only to discover that they seem to have vanished from the face of this planet. Nevertheless the book contains some gems that I feel I want to share from my point of view. I also realized that I missed doing book reviews and that my life is not about this diagnosis, it is about so much more!
The book is very simple. It is an easy read. The author is honest yet I feel there is a layer which was left unpealed. I wish I would have known more about her childhood, her trauma, her life after she has beaten cancer. Evita was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. What is truly interesting is that she knew something was off from Nadia, a psychic woman from Ukraine who did a reading on her body and told her something is off and guided her toward a protocol of healing before she would get diagnosed by doctors. Four months later Evita was cancer free without following any of the doctor's advices. Incredible right?
What I absolutely adored about this book was the idea of taking back the ownership of our bodies. Doctors do not know why cancer happens yet they are determined to tell you what to do and what medication you should be on.
When Evita asked the doctor the cause of her illness he did not know the answer. And she replied boldy:"So why would I listen to you about the solution?". I find it appaling how many patients become submissive and accept everything that a doctor says just because they wear a white coat. I have been in Evita's shoes and I can relate to what is she saying and I admire her confidence to say no to any treatment at all. She realized on her own the cause of her disease: toxic food and toxic thinking. Her marriage with Brian, her husband, was a failure. She dreaded intimacy with him. Sex was painful and a gloomy experience. She was hiding from her own emotions by eating junk food. She completely changed her diet: no fat, no animal fat or plant based fat, no seeds, no nuts, no avocados, no eggs, no oils, no dairy, no sugar, no meat, no bread, no white rice, no refined wheat.Just fruits and veggies and water. She also mentioned her coffee enema routine and how this changed her life.
I admit that the book feels very honest yet a bit scattered in the sense that I would have liked to see more structure, a more in depth aproach of every theme. She mentions that she monitored her tumours on ultrasound every two to three weeks but there is no more follow up detail about how she dealt with being cancer free after the forth month.
Evita also shares with us her sleep routine: going to bed early before 8 p.m. and waking up early as 4 to 5 a.m. . She also fasted a lot and loved enemas. Now here it is getting interesting. Evita says that "the average person has as much as ten pounds of uneliminated feces in the bowels continually, poisoning the blood stream and the entire system.(..)Experts in autopsy state they have found that from 60 to 70 percent of the colons examined have foreign matters such as worms and decades-old-feces-stones. The inside of walls of the over-intestines are encrusted by old, hardened feces and resemble in appearance the inside of a filthy stove-pipe. All diseases have their source in the colon, never perfectly emptied since your birth". It makes perfect sense! Have you noticed how difficult it is to wash a greasy plate? I started to think about this more often and contemplate the enormous task of our bodies to try to clean up the oils that stick to the walls. Eating plenty of fruit is like putting some tough cleansing froth on the intestines and washing up that gunk.
But eating clean is not enough! Toxic emotions are far worse than cheeseburgers!"There is nothing more acidic than judgement" Evita says. If you do the trauma work you begin to realize that there is nothing to forgive and that being grateful for every person that has crossed your path is the best way to go though life. She also admits her own trauma with sexual molestation and how that contributed to her emotional state and possibly to her cancer. It is very fascinating that a lot of women who have experienced this sort of abuse develop ovarian cancer...
I agree with her ideas about how the pharma industry not wanting people to get well and thriving from the costs of treatment. I find it sad and ironic that a sick individual is more valuable than a healthy one in the eyes of the big industries. Evita is right. Our society does not support healthy choices. Our society thrives on trauma, binge shopping and eating and medication. If supermarkets would place fruit at the exit instead of candy, condoms and cigarettes what would happen to their profit?
If cancer patiens would stop looking at doctors as being God and refused classical treatment who would lose money? Of course that doctors are benefiting from instilling fear into you and enrolling you in this path. I am sure that for some people doctors have been a blessing as I am also sure that for some they were the absolute worst.
I have finished this book with a sense of empowerment and reclaiming of my body. Surgery guarantees nothing when it comes to cancer. There is no guarantee for anything, can you see that? Nobody can tell you how is it going to be tomorrow. Everybody is running in a system in which they enrolled with the hope of making their life better. In case of cancer the wheels of the industry can only spin if patients are left in fear. Perhaps there is no odd thing that Evita has disappeared from the public eye. Who would want to be constantly monitored while saying a very uncomfortable truth? People have died for telling the truth and disturbing the big industries. I am grateful that this book saw the light of print and despite its very simple, almost unprofessional look, it is a treasure for those willing to dig deep and question it all.

Yes I have heard about it and I agree with it about cheap stuff that can clear cancer away . It works for some. I have a friend whose dad take it and managed to keep a stage 4 under control but the tumours came back. If you start to go on this path you will be blown away by how many things exist for cancer outside of the normal path. It can be like a rabbit hole. Some tried this , others went raw vegan and cured themselves, others combined cheap off the counter meds like metformin or hidroxichloroquine while on chemo. I think there might be a cure which does not mess people up like chemo and radiation but it is not as profitable as the latter for the pharma industry
Happy to see these book reviews back! You rock girl!!
