Aunque Gus no entendía mucho, un día mamá Gusi hizo maletas y le dijo a él y a su hermanito Gut que se mudarían. Mamá había estado muy ocupada esos últimos días, sacaba papeles y hacía llamadas, y siempre le pedía que ayudara con Gut cuando quería que lo cargaran.

Tomaron un autobús, luego un tren, luego un barco y finalmente un avión. Gus y Gut veían fascinados por las ventanas los paisajes, aunque para Gus había una preocupación: no sabía a dónde llegarían!

Finalmente llegaron. Era un sitio muy frío y todavía era de noche cuando bajaron del avión. Gusi los abrigó muy bien y salieron, tomaron un taxi y llegaron a un hotel.

Para Gus ese era un sueño hecho realidad! Siempre había querido estar en un hotel.

Cuando sale el sol, Gusi los invita a salir a conocer la ciudad. Gus y Gut quieren helado, aunque el frío los hace cambiar de opinión y prefieren un chocolate caliente.

Los atiende un sr muy diferente a ellos, era un gusano oscuro y con mucho pelo, su acento al hablar les daba risa, porque sonaba muy gracioso.

Estando ahí vieron gusanos de todos colores, era como una fiesta de disfraces pero nadie estaba disfrazado realmente, eran seres que venían de sitios distintos y que al igual que Gus y su familia, buscaban en esa nueva ciudad una vida mejor.

Todos eran amables, se ayudaban entre ellos y saludaban a los recién llegados. Gut aún no entendía mucho y trataba de imitar los acentos de los otros al hablar, pero Gus que era más grande, quería saber por qué ellos se fueron para esa ciudad al igual que él y su familia.

Guzzard, un gusano muy flaco y con bigotes, le dijo a Gus que en su ciudad era difícil encontrar empleo. Gusnat hablaba extraño, era un gusano alto y blanco, ella y su hijo Gunner viajaron porque estaban de vacaciones, venían de un lugar donde había mucho calor y ellos preferían el frío.

Y así como ellos, cada gusano nuevo en la ciudad tenía una historia, cuál crees tú que es la historia de los demás personajes?

Although Gus didn't understand much, one day Mummy Gusi packed her bags and told him and his little brother Gut that they were moving. Mummy had been very busy these last few days, taking out papers and making phone calls, and she always asked him to help with Gut when she wanted him to be carried.

They took a bus, then a train, then a boat, and finally a plane. Gus and Gut looked out the windows, fascinated by the scenery, although Gus had one concern: he didn't know where they were going!

Finally, they arrived. It was a very cold place, and it was still dark when they got off the plane. Mum wrapped them up warmly, and they went out, took a taxi, and arrived at a hotel.

For Gus, it was a dream come true! He had always wanted to stay in a hotel.

When the sun came up, Gusi invited them to go out and explore the city. Gus and Gut wanted ice cream, but the cold made them change their minds and they opted for hot chocolate instead.

They were served by a man who was very different from them. He was a dark worm with lots of hair, and his accent made them laugh because it sounded very funny.

While they were there, they saw worms of all colours. It was like a fancy dress party, but no one was actually wearing a costume. They were beings who came from different places and, like Gus and his family, were looking for a better life in this new city.

Everyone was friendly, helping each other and greeting newcomers. Gut still didn't understand much and tried to imitate the accents of the others when he spoke, but Gus, who was older, wanted to know why they had moved to that city, just like he and his family had.

Guzzard, a very skinny worm with whiskers, told Gus that it was difficult to find work in their city. Gusnat spoke strangely; she was a tall, white worm. She and her son Gunner had travelled because they were on holiday. They came from a place where it was very hot, and they preferred the cold.
