My Daughter and the Dance of Light and Love - Entry for Shadow Contest 286 | SMASh

When you have a daughter you love with all your strength, there isn’t a moment when you fail to imprint on your retinas every smile, every movement, every sign of a universe in which she is the most important thing.

I took these photos as she played on the slide. In a park shaded by mango trees, the relentless sun flickered between branches and leaves, while shadows cast delicate lace-like patterns onto the polished cement where she slid down again and again.

It wasn’t until hours later, when I looked at the photos, that I discovered the dance of reflections they held, and today, I dare to share them...
