An Eastern Great Egret, feeding in the shallows patiently waiting to spear its prey, be it a fish a frog, or a small reptile. Maybe a bank dwelling rodent , or if needs must insect life.

As silent as our boat was, engines cut to a minimum the graceful bird was spooked and takes flight.

To be honest I would have thought it was a swan, I was corrected by an avid twitcher who was amongst the band of baby boomers rocking Bangladesh
