Church of the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Las Nieves [Eng - Spa]

Greetings to all who enjoy architecture in this community, a few weeks ago I shared a hexagonal structure that is used as a recreational center in open spaces, I mentioned that its design was similar to the church that was next door and that both share the same land, assuming that it has been built by the same architect, today I want to show the beauty of the church of the brotherhood of Our Lady of the Snows.

Iglesia de la hermandad de nuestra señora de las Nieves

Saludos a todos los que disfrutan de la arquitectura en esta comunidad, hace algunas semanas compartí una estructura hexagonal que es usada como centro recreativo en espacios abiertos, mencioné que su diseño era similar a la iglesia que estaba al lado y que ambas comparten el mismo terreno, suponiendo que ha sido construido por el mismo arquitecto, hoy quiero mostrar la belleza de la iglesia de la hermandad de nuestra señora de las Nieves.

Located in Santa Rosalia one of the most discreet, small and safe urbanizations of Cagua, in Aragua state, Venezuela, it is built at the end of that urbanization, when I arrived I was not sure it was the church because it is very different from the ones that exist in the catholic religion around here. The first thing I saw was a two-story house with a balcony carved in wood, and above some symbols like a shield with a sword, a crown and other things that I did not distinguish and at the top a bell tower, next to this construction was a smaller building with angles and many stained glass windows, that was the church, also throughout the entrance is an arch that identifies the brotherhood.

Ubicada en Santa Rosalía una de las urbanizaciones más discretas, pequeñas y seguras de Cagua, en el estado Aragua, Venezuela, está construida al final de dicha urbanización, cuando llegué no estaba segura de que fuera la iglesia porque es muy diferente a las que existen en la religión católica por aquí. Lo primero que vi fue una casa de dos niveles con un balcón tallado en madera, y arriba unos símbolos como un escudo con espada, una corona y otras cosas que no distinguí y en lo más alto un campanario, al lado de esta construcción estaba una construcción más pequeña con ángulos y muchos vitrales, esa sí era la iglesia, además en toda la entrada está un arco que identifica la hermandad.

When I entered I did not know where to look, everything is very beautiful. The mass was about to end and, although I felt a little embarrassed for being late, I went on to take some pictures; I did not know if after the end of the mass they would close the church. Its design is hexagonal, it has a cone-shaped wooden ceiling from which hang a large chandelier, with four medium-sized side doors and a large one which is the main one, people have the possibility to go out wherever they want, in turn it gives an entrance of air making the environment fresh.

Cuando entré no sabía a dónde mirar, todo es muy hermoso. La misa estaba por terminar y, aunque sentí algo de vergüenza por llegar tarde, seguí para tomar algunas fotos; no sabía si después de terminar la misa cerrarían la iglesia. Su diseño es hexagonal, tiene un techo de madera en forma cónica de la que cuelgan una gran lámpara, con cuatro puertas laterales medianas y una grande que es la principal, las personas tienen la posibilidad de salir por donde quieran, a su vez le da una entrada de aire haciendo fresco el ambiente.

Its floors are made of marble in different colors: black where one walks, white where the benches are to sit, and with a different design in the center where the altar is, and that has a red carpet in the center that indicates the way to the altar. The altar is also covered with marble. After I sat down, I noticed that the stained glass windows that run along all the walls full of colors illuminate the interior, avoiding the use of electricity to illuminate.

Sus pisos son de mármol en diferentes colores: negro por donde uno camina, blanco donde están los bancos para sentarse, y con un diseño diferente en el centro donde está el altar, y que tiene una alfombra roja en el centro que indica el camino hacia el mismo. El altar también está cubierto de mármol. Después de que me senté, observé que los vitrales que recorren todas las paredes llenas de colores iluminan el interior, evitando el uso de la electricidad para iluminar.

In the stained glass windows we can see different virgins and saints, of them I could only recognize St. Francis of Assisi and the virgin of Coromoto because she is the patron saint of my country, I am not as good a catholic as I seem 😜. Several elements of this church caught my attention, like the baptismal font, all the luxury that surrounds this brotherhood and even a wooden box that they have on one side of one of the exits with a slot that says donations, it is an elegant way to ask for collaboration or alms as it is customary in other churches. In fact at the end of the mass I saw two older and elegant men, with dollar bills in their hands ready to introduce them in the drawer 😱, I was surprised by that, definitely this is the church where I should congregate 😂😅.

En los vitrales podemos ver diferentes vírgenes y santos, de ellos solo pude reconocer a san Francisco de Asís y la virgen de Coromoto porque es la patrona de mi pais, no soy tan buena católica como parezco 😜. Varios elementos de esta iglesia llamó mi atención, como la pila bautismal, todo el lujo que rodea esta hermandad y hasta un cajón de madera que tienen a uno lado de unas de las salidas con una ranura que dice donaciones, es una forma elegante de pedir la colaboración o la limosna como se acostumbra en las otras iglesias. De hecho al terminar la misa vi dos hombres mayores y elegantes, con billetes de dólares en sus manos listos para introducirlos en el cajón 😱, me sorprendió eso, definitivamente esta es la iglesia donde debo congregarme 😂

This church was built to feel comfortable in their facilities, after taking the pictures, they were already looking at me strange some more and call security. 😁 This church is very nice, and different since here the center is the lowest part, if you look at the photos you can see that there are four or more steps from highest to lowest towards the center. Esta iglesia fue construida para sentirse cómodo en sus instalaciones, después de sacar las fotos, ya me estaban viendo extraña un poco más y llaman a seguridad. 😁 Esta iglesia es muy bonita, y diferente ya que aquí el centro es la parte más baja, si observas las fotos podrás ver que hay cuatro o más escalones de mayor a menor hacia el centro. Esta iglesia fue construida para sentirse cómodo en sus instalaciones, después de sacar las fotos, ya me estaban viendo extraña un poco más y llaman a seguridad. 😁 Esta iglesia es muy bonita, y diferente ya que aquí el centro es la parte más baja, si observas las fotos podrás ver que hay cuatro o más escalones de mayor a menor hacia el centro.
