The Bridge Chronicles
I've recently photographed the western side of a downtown bridge that spans the False Creek waters off the Pacific Ocean. They renovated that side to increase the width of the pedestrian lanes and turn it into a luxury deck from where you can take in the amazing views of the mountains, ocean, city, sky, and invading UFOs.
The eastern side I have only photographed by boat, as you can see in this post. I was in the neighbourhood the other day, and after taking a wrong turn because of some blueberries, I ended up on the narrower eastern side. So, I took a few snapshots as I crossed the bridge.

You can see the base through the foliage
Zones around bridges are often stark, but a beautiful community has sprouted here. Families, vendors, tourists, locals, and a large number of wild life call this place home.

There are industrial areas, making good use of the waterways, but even they try to get a little creative and blend in with the tourism-driven community on the south side of the bridge.

Painted by Brazilian twin street artists OSGEMEOS- Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo
Walking a little further, one can see the marina and the green space that has been saved in this premium neighbourhood.

I like the romantic look of this. What I don't like is the polluted water

Swanky living
This is one of the exclusive sides of town because of location and cool views of aquatic action with majestic skies. Just imagine lounging on that deck on summer evenings, drink in hand, watching the sunset and the boats going by. Perhaps it's not everybody's cup of tea, but it's an option that nicely works with the constraints of this space.

Entering downtown, the towers loom in the hum of traffic, and I blend with all the passing faces.

I love seeing these designs in gardens, and with these autumn colours they look even more beautiful. Lovely!
The colours are so bright right now, especially in Eastern Canada. There are a few trees around here that are showing the wonderful fall colours, so I can't wait for the sunshine to return so I can do a proper photo session.
And that photo shoot will be great! What beautiful colours.
It's nice with all the trees changing their clothes. But these buildings are terrible. I can imagine that UFOS thrive among bridges and buildings ;-)
I think the UFOs have already landed here :) I like the buildings myself but everyone has different tastes.
