How much is enough or too much? Hive-Reachout Weekly Prompt 40.
Didn't we all dream about "If I get 'this' amount of money, I will do 'this and that'" at some point in our lives?
I remember that this spontaneous thought came to my mind before life hit me hard. When we start to earn for ourselves, we learn that it's hard even to earn a single penny.
But the thought is provocating, it brings joy, an unimaginable scenario to think how it would be if I get a huge amount of money.
How Much Do I Need?
Before answering the question, I must clarify what I need. It will help you understand my desire for money.
- I wish to have a comfortable life where I don't have to worry about every next meal, if I get sick how I will cover the cost, etc. I want to give the best education, and nutrition to my children. I wish I could have a beautiful home, it doesn't have to be extravagant but a comfortable family home. I want to have a stable source of income so I can provide for my family.
That's it. I don't wish for many luxurious things, nor do I wish to go on world tours, 5-star hotels, etc.
To cover the costs of my 'wants', a few hundred million would be enough, in my local currency. In dollars, I would say, maybe $$1,000,000 would be enough.
Oh, I feel heavy to even say it out loudly, I mean write it down in numbers.
With my current living conditions, there's no way I can earn this much if a miracle doesn't happen. But there's no limit to imagination nor do I have to pay any tax for thinking unimaginable...
What would I do with the money?
The first thing would be buying a home for my family. I don't own a place so it would be nice if I get something in my name and that I don't have to pay rent every month.
Then I would probably buy some property that can ensure a stable income for the next episode of my life. It can be housing, land, industries, shops, or anything.
I will give my children some gift that they are asking for but I never had that money to give. Like a dart bike/teen bike, a dressing room, etc. I would fix some money with their name on the bank to secure their future.
Then, I would probably spend some on things I can't afford like a tour, or some accessories. But I'm not too much into those things so my spend on these things would be minimal.
Last but not the least, I would give away some money to my relative who are in need and some to the strangers who are struggling.
This week's prompt let me think about how life would be better if I had a certain amount of money. We can solve so many small problems just by spending some money.
But at the end of the day, we have to live in reality. I need to put more effort into achieving something to fulfill my wishes. Maybe not today, maybe someday...

I totally could relate. As I began becoming an adult, I realized how hard it is to earn my own money. A million dollar is quite a lot, but we're free to set our own goals anyway. Wishing you all the best :)
Exactly. We are free to wish for anything and everything.
A million could solve our problems. But earning that is hard.
Seems like buying a home is on everyone's needs and wishes right now. It says a lot of the state of housing around the world. Since people started buying to rent, being an owner is becoming more and more difficult. Hopefully the miracle happens and you get your million

No amount is ever enough but reinvesting a particular amount of money for continues increase is the goal. Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece
