We are just beginning a new year and this is usually a time when we need to look back on our life and think about the things we've done. Last year came with its own mistakes, lessons and experiences. Some of those mistakes happened because we were careless and skeptical like the experience I had, while others happened because we did not know. As we step into this new year, we do not want to repeat the same mistakes we made again and that is why reflecting and learning from the pass become important.

I started this new year with reflection. I looked back at my life. I checked the things I did that helped me and I also checked the things I did that didn't help me. And one of the first thing I did this new year was that I accepted my mistakes without excuses. This was my first life hack. So therefore the first thing I will tell you to do is review your life. If you do not pause to reflect on what you have done in the pass, you will keep repeating the same mistakes. Reflecting on your life will give you clarity.

After reviewing my life, I decided to be intentional about the year. I did not want to drift through the year without direction. I defined how I want this year to go. I know what I want and I also know what I do not want and I'm clear about it. This is another important life hack. Define your year. Do not let circumstances define it for you. When you know what you want and what you do not want, your decisions become easier.

Another life hack I learned is the power of the people you keep around you. This year, I plan to spend more time with people who think ahead. People who have purpose. People who are serious about their lives. People who are optimistic. People who are moving forward, even if the progress is slow. These are people who will challenge you to be better. These are people who will help you see possibilities instead of excuses.
Walk away from relationships that do not add value to my life. Any friendship or connection that is toxic will only but drain you. Some relationships keep you stuck in one place without progress. Some discourage your goals and ambition. Some bring confusion and stress. Walking away from such connections is not pride or hstred. It is wisdom. So protect your peace.

Another lesson I learned is about money. I did a lot of careless spending that led to regret last year. This year, I am saving more than I spend. So spend less and save more.

I am also learning a new skill this year. This is one life hack I strongly believe in. Skills open doors. Skills create opportunities. You should do the same. You do not need to know everything. But you need to know something useful. And above all, walk with God this year. Rely on Him for direction. For clarity. For wisdom in making decisions. Life is full of choses. Some look good but lead nowhere. Some look difficult but lead to somewhere. Walking with God will helps choose better and make some right decisions.

These are some of the life hacks I am applying this year. I am sharing them because someone may need them. You may pick one or two and apply them to your life. I believe it can make a difference.

Happy new year sir. Last year was really tough. I spent carelessly too which I regretted and this year will be different by God's grace 🙏
