I've enjoyed many subjects in school, but one out of all that I've studied in school, literature in English holds a special place in my heart.
It's not just about reading stories or poems. It's about feeling them.
It may be difficult atimes to read and understand, but once its gotten, it always have deeper meaning.
Literature connect with me in a way no other subjects can.
It brings out my emotions and lets me step into other people's lives, even if they exist only in the pages of a book

I remember the first time I read a poem that made me stop and just think. It wasn't just about the rhyme or the words, it was the way it spoke about pain, love or hope and I could feel it. I didn't need to force myself to understand, the words found their way into my emotions
That's the beauty of literature, it teaches through feelings

Sometimes, when I read a story in class, I see myself in the characters.Their struggles, dreams and fears remind me of things I've been through or seen around me. Even when the setting is different, maybe in another country or in the past, the emotions are still the same. We all feel sadness, joy, anger, and confusion with deeper meaning
Literature shows that these feelings are shared by people everywhere

What I also love is how literature gives us freedom to think, (my favorite thing about literature) there's rarely one correct answer, you can explain what a poem or a novel means to you, and it's valid as far as it makes sense. That kind of freedom is rare in other subjects, but in literature, your thoughts and emotions matters.
Studying literature has also helped me express into words, to describe what's going on inside me. Whether I'm writing about a character or reacting to a poem, I'm also learning about myself

Literature is more than just a school subject for me. It's a mirror, a guide and sometimes even a friend. It's there when I need comfort, escape or just a reminder that I'm not alone in how I feel

That's why literature in English is not just my favorite subject, it's the one that truly speaks to my heart

There was a time we read a book in class, the words didn't just sit quietly in the page, they spoke , they carried feelings, memories and dreams that felt so real as if the list has reached across time to share a piece of their souls. That's when I realized literature wasn't about reading books, it was about understanding the human experiences

Each story or poem we explore feels like holding a mirror up to life. Sometimes I see my own struggles in the characters, other times, I learn to understand people completely different from me.
Literature teaches me to feel, to think deeply and to see the world with more compassion.
That's why it's my favorite subject. It connects words with the heart

Excuse ma @iamgracia2! please I'm finding it hard to pronounce one word like that, can you please help me out🤣.
All those englisians that love oppression people with big grammars, they will start making you feel as if is not English you're speaking or you don't know how to speak English 🤣.
Nice choice you get. English is a very nice subject, i remember twisting our tongues to pronounce sounds, it was really fun playing with those sounds/u:/🤣🤣

Literature in English was your best subject?? That is actually very impressive. I didn't even do that in my secondary school but then i remember by mates in art class that did it back then, they were always complaining about this particular subject, even some of them failed,or even struggled to pass.
