Embracing My Sanguine Temperament

Tell me have you sat down to wonder why you react to life the way you're doing now?

I'm sure you did and most of us have not discovered their temperament. Some might be a sunny and going Sanguine and it's a best and it's been a game changer for understanding myself.

For me temperament is like the lens which we see the world. This temperaments shapes how we think feel and act. So I want to share my journey with my sanguine nature and also how it has helped me to shine and scale through the world.

I was 20 when I first learned about my temperament and I was in a college class, psychology to be specific, so one of our lecturers was describing the different types of temperaments. So the lecturer described the sanguine character, which is a cheerful talkative and a bit of social butterfly.

It was like someone held up a mirror to my soul, I’ve always been down on cracking jokes, I love playing with friends, I love spontaneous adventure and I love to light up the room, qherever I find myself.

So discovering this my temperament helped me to understand why I would always crave connection and why I'm always happy when I'm surrounded by people. For me being a sanguine fits my personality so much, it has pushed me to beat strong relationships even whether it's by cheering up a friend or just connecting with people and networking with them.

This my optimism and my curiosity has carried me through tough times like when I lost a job and I bounced back by seeing a new opportunity presenting the self to me. Knowing my temperament has made me a better teammate, now I know why my quieter colleagues need space and I'd like to meet them halfway.

But it's not all sunshine sanguine comes with its own challenges. Most of us can have scattered brain and a passive and I must say I've definitely left some projects.

I've finished or blotted out things. I regretted sometimes, I used to cry and beat myself up for, this but this is something I have to work on as time goes on, so now I’ve started using planners to stay aligned and now I'm trying, to practice mindfulness to think, before I speak.

It's not perfect, I think get sidetracked on that but I think I'm making progress and this feels so empowering. All I can say is my sanguine temperament is my superpower, even when it quakes, it reminds me to keep spreading joy and keep going. If you haven't experienced temperaments I think you are going behind your life to discover your temperament, it will unlock a huge secret code on understanding yourself and now you can do it. Connect with others.
