HAPPY SUNDAY BELOVED.

Good day Champs and Winners of the World and a blessed Sunday, trust my writings meets you well. I had a very funny experience today at the church let me share with you.

I Woke up like a champion at about seven a.m sharp this morning feeling strong and healthy did my short personal devotion by thanking our Heavenly father for his unconditional love and mercy shown on us, so then I hurriedly took my bath and dressed up heading to the church to listen to the word of God as a believer.

Got to church by seven thirty or there about as the zonal pastor had started preaching and teaching the word of God, midway into the service I became pressed making me comfortable so I went to use the male restroom, on getting there I met a young man dressed in his cultural attire standing outside waiting, the restroom for males were two so I asked him if both were occupied and he replied in the affirmative so I joined him in waiting. Few seconds later another guy came and joined the queue, in no time, a small crowd has gathered numbering like eight person waiting and standing on queue waiting for those inside both restroom to be done.

After sometime the man at my front which is the first guy I met suddenly pushed one of the door opened and guess what?? No one was inside! Ahhh! Everyone burst into laughter, and to me holding myself for the past five to six minute was just for nothing. imagine how we all waited in vein because we didn't try to find out ourselves, obviously it was amusing.

Sometimes in life, because we're too fearful, insensitive, lazy or arrogant, we act according to what people say or write.

And so like me when I met the first man at the restroom, you fold your hands and wait instead of knocking to check if there's a vacancy for you. In relation to this funny senerio gives birth to insensitive thought like:--

You don't want to follow your true passion with zeal because you were told it is old fashion or unsophisticated.

You don't have anything to do with God because people who have lost a good standing with him told you God Almighty doesn't exist.

You don't pursue your dream career that gives you a sense of purpose, fulfillment and satisfaction because they told you it dose not pay well.

You don't dream big or visualise your future because people who don't really know how to dream told you you'll have a nightmare.

You let assumptions, hearsay, and surmises be the determining factor of your life and decision.
You don't try anything out because they have fed you with the mindset that because they failed at it, you too will fail so you accepted said "thank you" and ate their soured dish.

It is very risky to measure your fortune in life with the experiences and reality of others
Now, don't get me wrong. You can learn from the experience of others, but don't use them as a yardstick to measure your own reality because you're a different entity.

Sometimes It's best to arise and knock on the door: the doors of opportunities, doors of discoveries and door of breakthroughs, doors of acquiring new knowledge and skills. Stop the unnecessary "stopping to ask from people, especially the wrong people " Arise and knock on those doors!!
I trust you got value on my write up. Till I write you again, keep knocking on those doors.

I really enjoyed reading this! The restroom story was funny, but the lesson behind it is so true. Many times, we hold ourselves back just because we assume things or listen to what others say. Instead of taking action, we wait and sometimes, we miss out on great opportunities. Life won’t always hand things to us; we have to take that step, knock on those doors, and see what’s inside for ourselves. Thanks for sharing this reminder! It really spoke to me. Wishing you a great week ahead keep pushing forward and knocking on those doors!
Happy blessed Sunday @chizzy100

The first that popped into my head was a question. What if the man right in front of you did not check to verify why the assumed persons were taking so long in the restroom, you guys would have probably waited even longer and some folks will even give up choosing to look for other options to ease themselves.
That's just how life is some people get really comfortable with discomfort without verifying if they can do better or not without some body doing it for them or at the very least confirm if there is truly someone in the restroom 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Thank you for this and thank God you did not pee on yourself in God's house on your Sunday best

Very true, sometimes we tends to be comfortable even in discomfort without truly checking if something can be done, thank you so much for your wonderful remarks.

Your story about the rest room was funny. How you guys stood there for nothing. Assumptions can dangerous and killers of dreams and aspirations. Sometimes it's about taking that leap of faith. The words of people can demoralize and crush you sometimes, so you have to be mindful of who and what you entertain.
