[ENG/ESP] Monday of work and natural beauty.
After a weekend of rest, Monday always arrives with a breath of fresh air, like a door opening to new opportunities. We start a new week with fresh enthusiasm, with the energy that comes from having recharged our batteries and the excitement of facing new challenges. So, before I tell you about my day, I want to wish you all a wonderful, productive, and rewarding week, because every day brings with it the possibility to learn, grow, and enjoy what we do.
Yesterday, Monday, was an intense but also rewarding day at work. We headed to the Sunsol Ecoland hotel with the mission of checking the operation of the membranes in the desalination plants. This type of work requires attention, precision, and commitment, as the system's ability to continue providing quality water depends on it. However, beyond the technical aspects, the journey to the hotel was a gift in itself. We took Simplicio Rodríguez Avenue, a road I love for its coastal landscapes. The combination of sea, breeze, and blue horizon turns the journey into a moment of contemplation and conversation, where every bend in the road seems to open a window onto the natural beauty of Margarita.
Después de un fin de semana de descanso, siempre llega el lunes con su aire renovador, como una puerta que se abre hacia nuevas oportunidades. Se comienza una nueva semana con bríos frescos, con la energía que nos da el haber recargado fuerzas y el entusiasmo de enfrentar nuevos retos. Por eso, antes de contarles mi jornada, quiero desearles a todos una semana bella, productiva y llena de satisfacciones, porque cada día trae consigo la posibilidad de aprender, crecer y disfrutar de lo que hacemos.
Ayer lunes fue un día de trabajo intenso, pero también gratificante. Nos dirigimos hacia el hotel Sunsol Ecoland, con la misión de verificar el funcionamiento de las membranas de las plantas desalinizadoras. Este tipo de trabajo requiere atención, precisión y compromiso, pues de ello depende que el sistema continúe ofreciendo agua de calidad. Sin embargo, más allá de lo técnico, el recorrido hacia el hotel ya era en sí mismo un regalo, tomamos la avenida Simplicio Rodríguez, un camino que me encanta por sus paisajes costeros. Esa mezcla de mar, brisa y horizonte azul convierte el trayecto en un momento de contemplación y conversación, donde cada curva de la carretera parece abrirnos una ventana hacia la belleza natural de Margarita.
Upon arriving at the hotel, we were warmly welcomed by the quality department, who accompanied us through the necessary checks. It is always comforting to find a willing, friendly, and committed team, because the work becomes a shared experience. We checked the osmosis membranes and, luckily for us, everything was working perfectly. The values were within the expected parameters, which couldn't have been better. That feeling of peace of mind, knowing that our previous efforts had paid off, filled us with satisfaction.
Al llegar al hotel, fuimos recibidos con cordialidad por el departamento de calidad, quienes nos acompañaron en las verificaciones necesarias. Siempre es reconfortante encontrar un equipo dispuesto, amable y comprometido, porque el trabajo se convierte en una experiencia compartida. Revisamos las membranas de ósmosis y, para nuestra suerte, todo marchaba perfectamente. Los valores estaban dentro de los parámetros esperados, mejor imposible. Esa sensación de tranquilidad, de saber que el esfuerzo previo ha dado frutos, nos llenó de satisfacción.
We then headed to the main tank to take chlorination and disinfection measurements. This is a crucial step, as it ensures that the water is not only clear and abundant, but also safe to drink. When we verified that the parameters were within the normal range, we breathed a sigh of relief and were happy. At that moment, as I looked out over the surroundings from the top of the tank, I couldn't resist taking a few photos. The landscape was extraordinarily beautiful: the contrast of green with the blue of the sea, the architecture of the hotel in harmony with nature, and that light that only the island can offer. It was impossible not to want to share it with you.
Luego nos dirigimos al tanque principal para realizar las mediciones de cloración y desinfección. Es un paso fundamental, pues garantiza que el agua no solo sea clara y abundante, sino también segura para su consumo. Al comprobar que los parámetros estaban en el rango normal, respiramos aliviados y contentos. En ese instante, mientras observaba el entorno desde lo alto del tanque, no pude resistirme a tomar algunas fotografías. El paisaje era extraordinariamente hermoso: el contraste del verde con el azul del mar, la arquitectura del hotel en armonía con la naturaleza, y esa luz que solo la isla sabe regalar. Era imposible no querer compartirlo con ustedes.
When we got out of the tank, already thinking about leaving, we found other corners of the hotel that captivated us. There are always surprising details: a well-kept garden, an unexpected view. So, once again, I took out my camera and captured those moments to show you a little more of Ecoland's beauty.
Finally, we set off on our way home with the satisfaction of having done our duty. Not only had we successfully completed the technical checks, but we had also enjoyed a day full of beautiful scenery and little joys. That mix of work and enjoyment is what makes a day memorable. We were happy because both parties—us and the hotel team—were pleased with the results.
Cuando bajamos del tanque, ya con la idea de retirarnos, nos encontramos con otros rincones del hotel que nos cautivaron. Siempre hay detalles que sorprenden: un jardín bien cuidado, una vista inesperada. Así que, nuevamente, saqué la cámara y capturé esos momentos para mostrarles un poco más de la belleza de Ecoland.
Finalmente, emprendimos el camino de regreso a casa con la satisfacción de haber cumplido con nuestro deber. No solo habíamos realizado las verificaciones técnicas con éxito, sino que también habíamos disfrutado de un día lleno de paisajes y pequeñas alegrías. Esa mezcla de trabajo y disfrute es lo que convierte una jornada en algo memorable. Quedamos felices, porque ambas partes —nosotros y el equipo del hotel— quedamos complacidos con los resultados.
