[ENG/ESP] June a month of work, celebrations and sweets
Greetings, dear hives! I wish you an excellent and productive week, full of good times and accomplishments. For me, it will be a particularly busy week, as in addition to work responsibilities that cannot be stopped, this month is loaded with family celebrations. June is a special month at home, as we celebrate the birthdays of my husband, my father and my son. In addition, Father's Day is coming up, which means more preparations, get-togethers and, of course, lots of joy.
The first birthday we will celebrate will be my husband's, on the third of this month. For that reason, today I had to leave the house to look for some ingredients needed to prepare the cake and some sweets that I know he loves.
Before I went shopping, we decided to spend the morning doing a particular activity, planting lilies at home. It was a team effort, where everyone contributed their efforts to make everything perfect. My son passed the rake and opened the holes in the ground, while my husband was in charge of filling them with water, making sure the soil was well prepared.

Para mí, será una semana particularmente movida, pues además de las responsabilidades laborales que no pueden detenerse, este mes está cargado de celebraciones familiares. Junio es un mes especial en casa, ya que celebramos los cumpleaños de mi esposo, mi padre y mi hijo. Además, se acerca el Día del Padre, lo que significa más preparativos, reuniones y, por supuesto, mucha alegría.
El primer cumpleaños que celebraremos será el de mi esposo, el día tres de este mes. Por esa razón, hoy me tocó salir de casa para buscar algunos ingredientes necesarios para preparar la torta y algunos dulces que sé que le encantan.
Antes de dedicarme a esas compras, decidimos aprovechar la mañana en una actividad particula, sembrar lirios en casa. Fue un trabajo en equipo, donde cada uno aportó su esfuerzo para que todo quedara perfecto. Mi hijo, pasó el rastrillo y abrió los huecos en la tierra, mientras mi esposo se encargaba de llenarlos con agua, asegurando que el suelo estuviera bien preparado.
Finally, I joined the process and together we completed the planting of the lilies. It was a beautiful moment, in which, in addition to beautifying our home, we shared a family activity that left us with great satisfaction.
Finalmente, yo me uní al proceso y juntos completamos la siembra de los lirios. Fue un momento bonito, en el que, además de embellecer nuestro hogar, compartimos una actividad en familia que nos dejó una gran satisfacción.
After lunch and a well-deserved rest, it was time to go out to buy the necessary ingredients for the preparation of the birthday sweets. Although the sky was still cloudy in the morning, I decided not to postpone the departure any longer. I wanted to make sure I had everything ready well in advance.
Después de almorzar y tomar un merecido descanso, llegó el momento de salir a comprar los ingredientes necesarios para la preparación de los dulces de cumpleaños. Aunque el cielo seguía nublado desde la mañana, decidí no posponer más la salida. Quería asegurarme de tener todo listo con suficiente anticipación.
My first stop was at the More for Less market, where I found the perfect chocolate chip cookies to make one of my husband's favorite desserts. Despite the foggy weather, the scenery looked incredibly beautiful, so I took the opportunity to snap a few photos capturing the subtle beauty of the surroundings.
Mi primera parada fue en el mercado Más por Menos, donde encontré las galletas de chocolate perfectas para hacer uno de los postres favoritos de mi esposo. A pesar de la neblina, el paisaje se veía increíblemente hermoso, así que aproveché para tomar algunas fotos que capturan la sutil belleza del entorno.
After buying the cookies, I went to the Sigo supermarket in Costa Azul Park, where I was to buy the cocoa powder and butter. When I arrived, I noticed that the place was quite crowded; many people were shopping, which meant that I had to wait a bit to be able to pay. However, the wait didn't bother me too much, as the atmosphere, although chaotic, had an air of excitement, typical of people who, like me, were shopping. When I finally had everything I needed in my hands, I set off for home before the sky darkened completely.
Después de comprar las galletas, me dirigí al supermercado Sigo del parque Costa Azul, donde debía adquirir el cacao en polvo y la mantequilla. Al llegar, noté que el lugar estaba bastante concurrido; muchas personas realizaban sus compras, lo que hizo que tuviera que esperar un poco para poder pagar. Sin embargo, la espera no me molestó demasiado, ya que el ambiente, aunque caótico, tenía un aire de entusiasmo, propio de las personas que, como yo, estaban comprando. Cuando finalmente tuve todo lo que necesitaba en mis manos, emprendí el regreso a casa antes de que el cielo se oscureciera completamente.
Now, with the ingredients in place and the celebrations drawing closer, I am excited for all that this week will bring. It will be a busy period between work and the holidays, but it will also be an opportunity to enjoy special moments with my family. Preparing treats and organizing birthdays takes effort, but the happiness it brings makes it all worth it.
Ahora, con los ingredientes listos y las celebraciones cada vez más cerca, me siento emocionada por todo lo que esta semana traerá consigo. Será un período de mucho movimiento entre el trabajo y las festividades, pero también será una oportunidad para disfrutar de momentos especiales con mi familia. Preparar los dulces y organizar los cumpleaños requiere esfuerzo, pero la felicidad que trae hace que todo valga la pena.
