[ENG/ESP] A quiet Saturday with small tasks
Hello, I wish you a wonderful day, full of peace and joy. Today I'll be at home, taking it easy, relaxing a bit, but also taking advantage of the opportunity to catch up on some pending tasks that had been piling up. Sometimes, staying home is just what you need to recharge your batteries and reconnect with the space you love.
Yesterday, we left the house with the intention of getting everything ready so we wouldn't have to go anywhere today. It was a pretty productive day, and I'm really happy with everything we accomplished. The first thing that caught my attention when I went outside was how beautiful the weather was. It was one of those days when the sky looked like it had been painted, with a deep blue and some white clouds that looked like cotton.
It was the kind of day that invites you to escape to the beach and let yourself go. However, there are still quite a few tourists on the island, and I personally prefer to enjoy the beach when it is quieter, when I can listen to the sound of the waves without distractions and contemplate the horizon in silence. I like that feeling of having the beach almost to myself, as if it were a little hidden paradise.
Taking advantage of the good weather, I raised my camera and took some pictures of the landscape. The colors of nature were especially vibrant, everything blending together so harmoniously that it was worth appreciating. Those moments always fill me with great inspiration.
Hola, les deseo un día maravilloso, lleno de paz, alegría. Hoy estaré en casa, tomándome el día con calma, medio descansado, pero también aprovechando para ponerme al día con algunos pendientes que tenía acumulados. A veces, quedarse en casa es justo lo que uno necesita para recargar energías y reconectar con el propio espacio que uno ama.
Ayer salimos de casa con la intención de dejar todo listo para hoy no tener que movernos a ningún lado. Fue una jornada bastante productiva, y la verdad es que me siento satisfecho con todo lo que logramos. Lo primero que me llamó la atención al salir fue lo hermoso que estaba el clima. Era uno de esos días en los que el cielo parecía que lo habían pintado, con un azul profundo y algunas nubes blancas que parecían algodón.
Era el tipo de día que invita a escaparse a la playa, y dejarse llevar. Sin embargo, aún hay bastantes turistas en la isla, y personalmente prefiero disfrutar de la playa cuando está más tranquila, cuando puedo escuchar el sonido de las olas sin distracciones y contemplar el horizonte en silencio. Me gusta esa sensación de tener la playa casi para mí solo, como si fuera un pequeño paraíso escondido.
Aprovechando el buen clima, alcé mi lente y tomé algunas fotografías del paisaje. Los colores de la naturaleza eran especialmente vibrantes, todo se combinaba de una manera tan armoniosa que valía la pena apreciarlo. Esos momentos me llenan siempre de gran inspiración.
After enjoying the scenery for a while, we headed off to take care of some errands. We had to buy a few things to do some repairs at home: sandpaper, electrical tape, paint, brushes, and other materials. My husband, who knows better than I do where to find quality products, suggested we go to the Más x Menos market on Fucho Tovar Avenue. Inside that market, there is a hardware store called “Best Value,” where we always find what we need.
Después de disfrutar un rato del paisaje, nos dirigimos a cumplir con los pendientes. Teníamos que comprar algunas cosas para hacer unas reparaciones en casa: lijas, cinta aislante, pinturas, brochas y otros materiales. Mi esposo, que conoce mejor que yo los lugares donde se consiguen productos de calidad, sugirió que fuéramos al mercado Más x Menos, ubicado en la avenida Fucho Tovar. Dentro de ese mercado hay una tienda de ferretería llamada “Best Value”, donde siempre encontramos lo que necesitamos.
Once we had bought everything, we headed to our second destination, the Zoom office in the Sambil shopping center. We had to pick up some important documents for my father that had been waiting for several days. The journey there was very pleasant, with landscapes that were as charming as they had been at the start of the day.
Una vez que compramos todo, nos dirigimos a nuestro segundo destino, la oficina de Zoom en el centro comercial Sambil. Teníamos que retirar unos documentos importantes de mi padre que llevaban varios días esperando. El camino hasta allá fue muy agradable, con paisajes que seguían siendo tan encantadores como al principio del día.
When we arrived, we were attended to quickly and, to our delight, the package was ready, just as we had been told. I felt very relieved and happy, because I know that those documents are important to my father and that receiving them will give him great peace of mind.
Al llegar, nos atendieron rápido y, para nuestra alegría, la encomienda estaba lista, tal como nos habían informado. Me sentí muy aliviado y contento, porque sé que esos documentos son importantes para mi padre y que recibirlos le dará mucha tranquilidad.
Before returning home, we made one last stop at the Rio market to buy some groceries for the week. Although it's not my favorite market, it's on our way home and always handy for quick shopping. As we were leaving, I was surprised when they asked me to see the supervisor. I thought there might be a problem with my purchases, but to my surprise, it was to give me a Christmas keychain for buying two bottles of soda. I thought it was a very nice gesture. I decided to save it to give to my father, since this market is one of his favorites and I'm sure he'll love it.
Antes de regresar a casa, hicimos una última parada en el mercado Río para comprar algunos víveres para la semana. Aunque no es mi mercado favorito, nos queda de paso y siempre es útil para resolver compras rápidas. Al salir, me sorprendieron al pedirme que pasara por la supervisora. Pensé que había algún problema con mis productos, pero para mi sorpresa, era para regalarme un llavero navideño por haber comprado dos envases de refresco. Me pareció un gesto muy bonito. Decidí guardarlo para regalárselo a mi padre, ya que este mercado es de sus preferidos y estoy seguro de que le encantará tenerlo.
With all our shopping done and loose ends tied up, we return home satisfied that we made the most of our day. Now all that's left is to enjoy the weekend, relax, and maybe get a few things done around the house, but without rushing. Sometimes, those little moments of tranquility are the most appreciated.

Con todas las compras hechas y los pendientes resueltos, regresamos a casa con la satisfacción de haber aprovechado bien el día. Ahora solo queda disfrutar del fin de semana, descansar, y quizás adelantar algunas cosas en casa, pero sin prisas. A veces, esos pequeños momentos de tranquilidad son los que más se agradecen.
