Saturday is general cleaning day! - One of the most productive day of the kids.

Spending time with your loved ones this weekend is the best time investment ever!

This is my first time posting in this community, and I’m excited to share a glimpse of our daily life to all of you.

This Saturday morning, our uncle gathered his children and their cousins who were free at the time and asked them to clean the yard, as weeds had already started to grow. Since our houses are close to each other, I smiled as I watched them eagerly follow their dad’s instructions. It was refreshing to see kids being active and helpful, especially when so many their age are often glued to their gadgets and watching all day. Sometimes they even forget to eat their meal because they are focus on their gadgets.

At first, I just planned to take photos of them because it made me happy to see them doing something productive. But after capturing a few moments, I decided to helped and teach them how to properly use the cleaning tools and remove the weeds efficiently. Even though they weren’t used to this kind of work, they were quick to learn and eager to help. And as a parent, this really warm my heart. We are also accompanied by our beloved grandmother who is sunbathing at the same time supervising the kids.

They started by pulling out the weeds along the pathway and tossing them to the other side. After we had uprooted more weeds, I asked three of the boys to gather the weeds in sacks and throw them away properly. Without hesitation they do what I said and I could see that they were actually enjoying the task, despite not being used to it or doing it perfectly.

After about an hour, I left for a while to take care of my kids. When I came back, they were nearly done but the sun rays was already hot and they aren’t eaten their breakfast, so I told them to go home and have their breakfast, and they could continue and finish it afterwards.

It was truly heartwarming to see the kids choosing to be responsible and productive instead of spending their time on their phones, online games, or TV. Nowadays, many children hard to follow through with chores we asked them to do, but these kids were amazing, they are respectful, cooperative, and willing to help.

Let’s continue to guide and encourage the younger generation to spend their time meaningful and productive. These small actions and habits learned early in life can shape them into responsible and hardworking individuals in the future.
