Saludos a la comunidad de Blog Diario. Es para mí un honor, hacer una reseña de mi paseo de ayer, por el Parque de Avellaneda, en Buenos Aires, y mostrarles algo que me pareció muy importante. Como pueden observar, en este hermoso parque, han tomado en cuenta todos los detalles que funcionan para que realmente el visitante se sienta cómodo, y relajado. Bien sea con sus niños, familia o si decide ir solo a llevar a sus perritos, a socializar con otros. (Cosa que tristemente, yo misma no puedo hacer con mi perrita, porque ella fue maltratada y producto de esos malos tratos, no es nada sociable)

Greetings to the Blog Diario community. It is an honor for me to write a review of my walk yesterday through Avellaneda Park in Buenos Aires and share something I found very important. As you can see, in this beautiful park, they have considered every detail to ensure visitors feel comfortable and relaxed, whether with their children, family, or even if they decide to go alone to take their dogs to socialize. (Something that, sadly, I can't do with my own dog because she was mistreated and, as a result, is not very sociable.)

Este lugar es un hermoso espacio de esparcimiento y relax para los perros. Sus humanos acostumbran llevarlos después de haberles hecho caminar para lograr que estén en forma. ¿Qué van a encontrar allí? De entrada, son las normas para el uso del Área de Recreo Canina. Los perros deben ingresar sueltos, el humano debe respetar a las otras mascotas, recoger las deposiciones en las bolsitas que están en el dispensador de ellas, controlar a su mascota, para evitar roces con el resto, ponerlos a hacer ejercicios. A los que son muy peligrosos no quitarles el bozal. Al salir del refugio canino, ponerle de nuevo su cadena y bozal.

Dogs must be off-leash, owners must respect other pets, pick up after their dogs in the bags provided in the dispenser, keep their pets under control to prevent fights with other dogs, and encourage them to exercise. Dogs that are considered dangerous should not have their muzzles removed. Upon leaving the dog park, dogs must be re-chained and muzzled.

En esta imagen les muestro más o menos una visual del espacio y de lo amplio y limpio que se mantiene. Al fondo está el área de entrenamiento y ejercicios. Hay dos cestos para desechos, alrededor unos muros para que los humanos vigilen a sus mascotas. Algunos se ponen a leer, etc. Dependiendo de los visitantes y su comportamiento. Otro dato, no menos importante y además básico, es el suministro de agua. Allí los animalitos, además de que aprovechan de echarse una refrescadita, tienen sus envases para beber agua e hidratarse. Ahora que estamos en verano, mucho más.

Estos obstáculos son el complemento para el entrenamiento que sus dueños o entrenadores, les hacen practicar. Al final está un barril que gira, y una tabla para sus saltos y otros ejercicios. Ahora me detendré en esta hermosa escultura tallada, que como pueden visualizar, es el rostro de un hermoso perro. Se preguntarán, ¿Qué ocurrió aquí, para que se tuviera que llegar a mutilar un árbol que realmente a simple vista se nota que era muy grande? Pues, este gran árbol ya se estaba secando en su copa. La causa, pudiera haber sido, que la inclemencia del tiempo y los cambios de temperatura, lo fueron debilitando, además de que acá, acostumbran talar exageradamente a los viejos árboles cuando se acerca el invierno. No sé cuál es la razón. Pero haya sido, la que haya sido, el árbol se convirtió en un tronco seco. Además, era la gran sombra del lugar donde se guarecían del inclemente sol los animales. Así lo llegué a conocer, cuando paseaba por allí e iba a los eventos culturales.

Now I'll focus on this beautiful carved sculpture, which, as you can see, is the face of a beautiful dog. You might wonder, what happened here that led to the mutilation of a tree that was clearly very large? Well, this great tree was already dying at the top. The cause could have been that the harsh weather and temperature changes weakened it, and also because here they tend to cut down old trees excessively when winter approaches. I don't know the reason. But whatever it was, the tree became a dry trunk. It also provided ample shade where animals sought refuge from the harsh sun. That's how I came to know it, when I used to walk around there and attend cultural events.

Lo hermoso de todo esto, es que a alguien se le ocurrió recrear ese refugio con esta hermosa escultura en madera. Nada mejor que sacada de la misma raíz y tronco de ese árbol. Creo que este, aún seguirá hermoso porque le pusieron mucho amor al tallarlo. Seguirá de pie, y adornando el espacio, hasta que el que está a un lado, se desarrolle y lo sustituya para dar sombra y frescor al visitante.

The beautiful thing about all this is that someone had the idea to recreate that shelter with this beautiful wooden sculpture. Nothing better than one carved from the very root and trunk of that tree. I believe it will remain beautiful because so much love went into carving it. It will continue to stand, adorning the space, until the one next to it begins to grow and replaces it, providing shade and coolness for visitors.
