Friday's Er-Runs [Errands]
We left the house at 5:30 Friday morning for a 3-hour drive to the province capital. Waking up earlier than the rest of the world neighborhood and driving through the darkness felt surreal, maybe because it's been a long while since we had such an early trip. We usually do that in the previous years but rarely as of late.
We were along the national highway when these photographs were taken. We had been on the drive for 56 minutes then. The hubby noticed the strange clouds saying they looked flat (whatever he meant by it, only he knows, lol!
The sky was getting brighter as we went on, him in the driver's seat as usual and me enjoying the scenery, taking snapshots of landscapes, sky, mountains, and other things that got my attention.
We pulled over by the Northway's Cafe two hours later thinking we would have light breakfast or coffee. Unfortunately, it was still closed despite having the signage "OPEN" in their window. So we left and found another where we had congee instead. For some reason, we didn't take pictures of the food place or the steaming bowls.
After that quick bite and a short rest, we went on with the drive, passing through what is popularly known as "The Half-Tunnel" where the hubby noticed a gentleman recording a video of himself, pointing behind him below the roadside barrier. He might be showing his viewers where he was. "Look at that, your friend is doing a selfie," the Farmboy said jokingly. "Maybe he's a TikToker," he continued. "You can find him later," I teased although no one among us visits TikTok.

At past 8 am, we were in Topdac where this artwork was seen and photographed. I didn't check why it was said to be the heart of our region. My first time reading about it. There was another set of murals along that wall but will be shared next time for the Street Art community.
At 9 am, we were almost arriving. Unfortunately, we found ourselves caught in a traffic jam just along the Camp Dangwa Police compound.
Knowing how slow things move in that part of the capital, I took the chance to take a nap and avoid getting pissed off, lol! The hubby woke me up when we were queuing for the parking area. It was full so we spent half an hour waiting for a spot to become available.
That's one of the things we don't like when traveling to that part of the region as we spend more time waiting or being stuck in traffic. The Farmboy was losing his patience but had no other choice. By the time we got a space, it was 10:30 am!
Thankfully, our appointments went smoothly we were done with all 3 in just an hour which gave us some time to take our wee pup for a run at the university grounds before we headed to our lunch date (and that will be a topic for another day).😊

Dearest FG you had quite an adventure. Waking up early for a road trip always feels special but I must confess I don't wake up early hahaha.The unexpected moments along the way make for the best memories, even if plans don't always go as expected. I'm wishing you the best of weekend ahead dearest

I'd just park on the road.
Haha, it was. I mean here in town, we never have to wait like that. Parking on the road means you get a ticket with corresponding fines which also affects your driver's license😅
Never understood the ticket system.
What if I come back to my car.
I see a ticket without the person who placed the ticket.
Then I decide to disregard the ticket.
How would they get me and/or my drivers license?

What I do most times when I experience this case of traffick jam is just to start a nap but it can get annoying most times😊

That's a super early trip ha. But the earlier you go, the earlier you'll reach your destination, kung meron man, uwu. But that Topdac part, with that scary ang big stone, it's pretty pero kakatakot, what if ano, hahaha biglang umano 😆😆
Oo, super aga haha. Gusto ko pa matulog pero yon, need na gumising para d ma-late sa appointment. Yung sa may half tunnel, parang katakot tingnan and mapapaimagine ka talaga ng kung ano haha. As far as I can remember, that place had not had any major problems even during strong typhoons or earthquakes.
I don't like to get up early, I did it for many years, however when I have to do it against my will 😆 I appreciate it, because I see wonders around me everything seems beautiful.
I don't use tiktok either but my parents do have it and from time to time they lend it to me, now that I write it down it seems strange to me, 🤣😂 that they have it and I don't.
That tourist tiktoker seems to me was in a dangerous place to take a selfie. Thanks for taking me for a ride and getting to know the tunnel.

It's nice that your parents have TikTok. Are they uploading videos? They must enjoy the app hehe.
Our highway is considered one of the most dangerous roads in the country because of the terrain. Looking down could either make one gasp at the view or get scared 😂
No, my parents don't know how to upload videos, I don't think they would either if they did, they just enjoy watching other people's videos.
