OH MY DAY!

Hello, friends. I hope this meets you all well! Today, I want to share a particular experience I had recently which wasn’t so pleasant but was funny, lol. As some of you might know, I’m already writing my first semester exams and so far so good, it has been really interesting. Some days I just try to keep reading even when I’m not sure if I’m understanding what I’m reading but I’m glad I haven’t gone completely blank in any of my exams and hopefully I won’t in the rest papers I have.

So, just last week Wednesday, I had a paper and before that day I had power outage where I live so my devices were low and some were dead. I wanted to go to places where I can pay to charge but unfortunately, due to the fact that I wasn’t the only affected by the power outage, others also went there to charge their devices so every where was filled up. I was so sad and pained at the same time. I kept wishing I had gone there earlier but then, I just accepted what has happened and moved on. When I got back home, I tried reading with the little percent I had left on my phone. It wasn’t enough at all to do as much as I wanted but I was glad I could at least read through all the materials on that course.

It was at that point I remembered that I had a little battery on my android phone so I turned it on. I usually don’t make use of it too much because it has a weird problem. It most times just turns off on its own and I kept praying it will allow me use it to study. Luckily for me, after turning off and on for sometime, it started working and I was able to study some more. I was so happy. After it also died, it was a little late then so I just said my prayers and retired to bed. The next day, I used my notebooks to revise. Thank God I wrote some things down.

It was time to go to school so I left the house a little earlier so I can stop at the place to charge my devices but surprisingly again, everywhere was filled up! I was so sad again. This time, I just told myself to give up going back there and just go straight to school. And because of the whole situation, I lost my appetite and that was how I ended up not eating to my exam which was not something I’d do on a normal day. Well, when I got to school, I saw that there was electricity there and I was happy but there were two problems. I won’t be able to charge my devices until after the exam so someone doesn’t end up stealing my power banks. The rate at which people are stealing during exams is really insane and I didn’t want to be a victim of it.

The other problem was that after my exam in that hall, there was going to be another exam too and naturally, I shouldn’t be there. Immediately I was done with mine, I went inside this closet in that particular hall to start charging. I already made up my mind to just stay there until the other exam ended. At least the supervisors shouldn’t see me. It wasn’t easy for me because I wasn’t comfortable there because the place wasn’t just conducive. Well, I managed to the end and that was how I was able to charge my devices. But most importantly, I was so happy I wasn’t caught there. Because if I was, it won’t have been acceptable but I just needed to charge my devices so I stayed there as a prisoner.

I really pray I don’t have to experience something like that again because it wasn’t funny at all. Right now, our electricity hasn’t been restored and my devices are already low again but I hope I find somewhere to charge or hopefully they restore our power.

I’m very sure some of us might have had worst experiences or something related. Feel free to drop them in the comments!

Thanks for reading through. ❤️
