HOPE STYLING DAY

Yesterday was Saturday and I had someone booked an appointment with me to make his partner’s hairdo. I was a bit nervous because it’s been a while I made some hairstyles for people and now I don’t think I still have it in me to do great styles like I used to. Well, I took up the challenge and accepted the job. I left the house quite early yesterday morning so I could settle in at the clients place before we started.

On my way to her place, since I left the house early and couldn’t eat anything before leaving, I bought snacks. It was fresh and nice too. When I arrived at her place, she was busy with her other neighbors cleaning their surroundings since it was cleaning day for them. I had to wait for her to finish up and also freshen up before we started. I already prepared the things I needed the previous day so all we needed to do was start making the style. The style was chosen by her partner so she didn’t have any idea of it. When I showed it to her, she wished she had relaxed her hair well to make it more beautiful. Well, it was already too late so I had to make do of what I had.

While I was making her hair, we chatted about different things that were happening around us and it was so nice to know we think alike in some ways. After some time, she started watching a series titled FRIENDS and she was kind enough to explain some things to me about the movie. It was a very old series and funny too. I spent approximately 6 hours making the first part of the hair which has the bulk of the work that needed to be done. After that, I trimmed the hair to remove some excess hair and that took about an hour since I made sure to trim every single one. Once I was done, I went ahead to the next part of the style which was curling it. That took me some time too and when I was done, we boiled water to make the hair more relaxed and beautiful.

The hair wasn’t as good as I wanted it to be because I didn’t use some things on the hair but overall, she liked it and that was encouraging. She was so happy with the choice of color I used because if she was the one who picked the color, she would have gone for her regular brown color. Immediately we were done, we took more pictures of the hair.

I felt really fulfilled I could make her hairdo because at some point I almost rejected the offer because I was tired from the stress I had on Monday last week but I’m happy I didn’t rejected it. My Saturday was a good one and I felt really fulfilled too. Though I was tired. When I got home I quickly freshened up and did a few things before going to bed.
