Thrilling Casino Fun Playing Stake House Den

One of the great things about the Hive ecosystem is that you can build just about anything. Play to earn games have become a big part of the Hive blockchain. I was first introduced to Hive through Splinterlands, although I must confess I don't play it much anymore, it did bring me into Hive.

Over the last month and a half I have been playing a new game that was produced by Arcade Colony called Stake House Den. It's a casino style game that lets you play games such as roulette, slots, and even black jack. Soon poker will be joining the list as well. I have written up some posts as a tutorial to help you get started in you are interested, and can check it out at the link here.

Today I will be giving you an update of my progress to date and sharing some tips to help you advance in the game.

To start off, today I bought two more Lady Luck packs which give you playing cards that can be staked to earn Hot Sauce which is the in game currency used to make bets. The game does have an occasional bug which is normal for a new game, one which I'll share below. First off you can see I purchased two Lady Luck packs, legendary flux, and gold flux to increase chances of pulling legendary or gold cards.



It tried to open both packs but it only let me do one, and gave me an error only showing four cards instead of five. I contacted support and they assured me that there were five. I did pull a couple of gold foil cards which is a huge plus!

The next pack worked properly, and gave me two more gold foil cards which was great. Sadly, no legendary jokers this time around!

I will likely put up the two gold foil tens up for sale, the market place is pretty slow right now as the game is new. Hopefully that will improve as more people join the game.

Fortunately, I did finally pull enough Queen of Clubs to merge the cards together. Since this is a rare card five are needed to merge it to the next level. The advantage to doing so in the card will produce more Hot Sauce when staked. For more info on merging cards you can check this link here.

Once merged the level two card now can produce 12.5 Hot Sauce per day once it is staked.

Now for some game play!

Today I started off with a grand total of 2,293 Hot Sauce which I let pile up over a week or so. I didn't have great luck today, losing more than I won, but it was still a lot of fun!

Slots

First off I played one round of slots and managed to win! I only bet 20 Hot Sauce though!

Roulette

I then also played roulette betting 20 as well and played the odds by betting on red. I lost as it came up green double zero. Talk about bad luck! That's why I usually stick to black jack...

Black Jack

I spent most of my time here betting 200 Hot Sauce each time. I wish I could say I fared well, but I did not... I lost or had a push in almost all of the hands. I did manage to win three which was nice!

Fortunately I have 50K staked Colony tokens which act as a multiplier so I did earn a few Colony on my wins.

After all was said and done I went to check the leaderboard and find out just how badly I had done. Somehow I ended up in first place! I'm not sure how or why, but I'm not complaining!

I still need to increase my Colony stake this week by 10K to increase my multiplier on my wins. It's not expensive and worth the investment. This game I am only playing for fun, I'm not in it for the earnings. I like casino games so I really am enjoying it. If I do happen to earn something along the way I won't complain, but having fun is much more important!

But I wonder why the third place get more rewards than you int he first place?

It's a fun game, even when you end up on a losing streak! I have no idea how I ended up on first place when the third place has way more points than I do. Maybe it's a bug in the software? But it still is fun to see yourself at the top of the leaderboard!

I know that feeling, there really are more things that I would like to do but just haven't had the time. I have a ton of LEGOs I need to get sorting through but just haven't had the energy to get to it and other projects around the yard and house. Maybe you'll get some more free time after the schools get settled into a normal rhythm.

I'm not sure how I ended up in first place, but I won't complain. My points were lower than the third place... It really is about fun, I don't want to have to worry about making or losing money in a game for once. I did a lot of that in Splinterlands and it made it less fun!
