A Day in the Village: Geese, Goslings, and Blooming Bluebells

As I decided to take a walk around my village there was a chill in the air but at least it was fine. My first port of call was the lido. I noticed three Canada geese on the footpath with six little goslings.

Their parents, along with another goose with angel wing, kept a watchful eye on the little ones. The goose with angel wing, a condition that affects the development of the wing feathers, is affectionately called "Wingy" by the villagers. It was difficult getting them all in one shot. I didn’t want to disturb them so I didn't want to get too close.

After walking around the pond, I continued up to my local woods. There, I noticed a few trees had fallen. It looked as though they were in the process of chopping one up.

There are still many bluebells out. It was like walking through a scented garden.

It was a little overcast this morning but little pockets of green foliage popped out.

The last part of my walk was back at the village pond near where I live. This nature walk reminded me of how lucky I am to live in such a pretty village even though the weather was not perfect today. Better weather is forecast soon.

Very lovely! I've heard of bluebell woods, but here I just have a few in the gardens. The goslings are so cute!

So beautiful!
I hope you are doing well! I haven't been reading comments or replying for a pretty long time. I'm sorry for that. I wish I could just snap out of it and be a cheery old bastard. Lol. Seeing Canadian Geese is nice! I'm Canadian but haven't been home in over 40 years. I'm missing it more all the time. Seeing them there makes me wish I could just fly over and stay :) 😀 ❤️

Thank you for asking, I'm doing good! I took a break from commenting on your posts because I wasn't sure if they were something you enjoyed or found helpful. I think engaging could really help your account grow. Your photos are too good and deserve much more attention. It could even be an opening to making friends.

It was a nice surprise seeing the goslings, as it's the first time the geese have nested at the lido. I am concerned for them though, as there's some big fish in the lido, so I'd be surprised if they all make it.

Hi, I'm only able to do the barest minimum here. I don't even know of an exchange that I could use to convert hive/hbd into dollars to go to my bank acct. Have you got one there that you can use? I used Ionomy but then they disappeared. I haven't looked lately though.

I did mention it on one of your posts, but I'm not sure whether you read it or not. Previously, after using Ionomy, I found a method involving Changelly to convert Hive to BTC. I'm not sure if Changelly is available in the USA, though. I then transferred the BTC to Revolut, where it was exchanged for GBP and subsequently transferred to my bank account. Unfortunately, after a few transactions, Revolut stopped accepting it. The good news was they allowed me to still transfer it to my bank account. Technically, I can still do this but I'm concerned one day it will get stuck and it will be lost.

At the moment, I'm struggling to find something else in the UK. I really don't know what I'm doing but I google the hell out of it. I think there is Crypto.com but again you will have to see if it's accepted in your country. If I were you, I'd do a post about it and ask for help but tell people to keep it simple.

Thank you! It's been a long time since transferred anything. I used Ionomy to get BTC then coinbase to my bank. I think coinbase is still doing that. The trick is getting Hive/HBD to BTC. I don't earn anything here so it doesn't really matter. I suppose I keep hoping the price of hive would go up. It would have to go up a lot for me though. Thanks again.

I will try and find some more info. You could earn more on Hive, but I know you don't like the blogging side of things.
