Everyone hate player 333
I have been pondering this for a while, but I keep postponing writing a post about it.

People dislike player 333, but he is one of the realest characters that portrays human nature in the squid game movie.
Many people curse him for trying to kill his baby to win the jackpot money, oh, he is so cruel, wicked human, he wants to kill an innocent child...
I was on my own when my brother also started the topic, and I asked him one question, put yourself in player 333 shoes
just assume you are the one who made it to the final and the only thing stopping you from winning is a baby [your baby], what would you do?
One of the first things that will cross most people's minds in such a life and death situation is that the baby is a day-old and is yet to experience life, so why should I sacrifice my life for him?. With that amount of money, I can have as many babies as I want in the future and use it to take good care of them.
I am the one who played the game from the beginning till the end, I was the one who suffered and survived the brutality, why should I kill myself to save a baby who is yet to know anything about the world?.
The mother is dead, the father sacrificed himself for him too, in the end, it is a stranger that will spend the money with the child, he might take good care of him and also give him a larger part of the money when he is old enough, this is if the person in charge of the money and child has a good heart but if is is vice versa, it means the father died for nothing and left the child in this cruel world to suffer.
In case you still disagree that the right thing for him to do was to sacrifice himself so the baby could win, here is another example.

Assume your wife is on a delivery bed and suddenly the doctor tells you that he can only save either the mother or the baby, who would you choose?
Would you choose the mother whom you have created a bond with, pass through the good and bad times together, and have a lot of memories, or will you pick the newborn that you are not yet fully attached to... Oh yeah, I know we have a scenario where the father picks the baby, but it only means he doesn't love the mother, and being with someone who doesn't love us is the worst thing that can happen to us.
It is time to leave emotion and be logical, as humans, when we find ourselves in a situation that threatens our life, that is when we will know there are some things that we are capable of doing that we don't know yet.
People criticize others for their actions until they find themselves in the same situation, and that is when they understand why those people they criticize act that way.
Before you judge anyone, put yourself in their shoes.
I have never been in a life and death situation; I am just an overthinker.

Haha that scene had me thinking a lot, a stranger died for the child and we were very sure the father wouldn't have... The twist was something else, at a point I didn't know what to think anymore.
Like you, I've never been in such a life and death situation but I understand what you mean and I'll say it totally depends on the individuals involved and their story before such a situation arises.
yea, that was so obvious.
I'll say it totally depends on the individuals involved and their story before such a situation arises
.I also agree with you on this, like the case of 456, I guess he was disappointed in himself for failing to stop the game, and he felt sacrificing himself to save the child would pass his message across to the host of the game.
Yeah, he definitely passed the message right into the host with his sacrifice.
Well said but you know if it had been the mother that is in that kind situation she will definitely sacrifice herself for the baby to live.
The guy initially have the love of money than loving the woman and the child cause had it been he came to save the lady before he eventually kill the player that was helping her all this won't happen
So I will still blame him and curse him over Nd over again
He intended to save the mother,he was searching for he, and he didn't know Player 120 was protecting her, you could see the sign of remorse on his face after he stabbed her and saw his woman right in the front...
Mothers are gods on earth and yes I believed she would willingly sacrifice herself for the baby but then the situation of how both of them met and how he didn't know know he was pregnant for him and all that, I don't think any man would sacrifice himself in such a situation, we don't do things with emotions like the women, we are more logical.
Hmmmmm
It's really a tough situation to be in and every choice will come with its own unintended consequences. But as you pointed out from a logical perspective, it's better off for the man to pick himself over the baby. The latter hasn't yet to experience what life is really about, no attachment or whatsoever. But alas, we humans are emotional creatures lol, we don't always think with our head :)
I give that emotion part to the ladies; we men think before we act. We are logical beings; it is often said that women lack control over their emotions.
That's very true. Men are wired that way, to be strategic. Sometimes men even act without thinking. No thoughts, no emotions. Just action.
I am yet to watch squid game series. I need to watch it to understand the situation of the player 333 you mentioned. Killing the baby of his own might not be an easy decision to make but if the decision made, there must be reasonable explanation of it. I can't judge as I didn't watch it.
You’re very right and I don’t care if some people do not agree with you. What if they do not take care of the child? It’s better to let the innocent child go back to heaven and you can do something reasonable with the money
I’m sorry if that sounds harsh but that’s the best thing
