Growing Up with Christmas: Memories, Gifts, and What I Wish For Now
Christmas is just around the corner, and I'm super excited about it because Christmas is one of my favorite festive seasons that's always filled with love, family bonding, and much more, to name but a few. Christmas while growing up was a time I always looked forward to because of the food, the clothes, and the gifts we were given, and now that one is around the corner, I can't help but be excited and look forward to what I'll get as a gift. Like we all know, one of those things that makes Christmas exciting is the gift that we give to one another; some are an answer to our prayers, and many are from the place of thoughtfulness. In this article today, I'll be talking about my idea of a Christmas gift.

It's always intriguing when I watch movies and see friends and family gift one another during Christmas; sadly, it's been over two decades since I last received a Christmas gift. All I've enjoyed during those periods Christmas is the gift of men, an opportunity to bond with family and food in abundance, but when it comes to gifts, the last time I received one, I was still a primary school student. But then that's about it. What I'd like to receive as a gift this Christmas morning, in case someone wants to gift me or Santa is watching, are things I really, really need and know would have a great impact on my life going forward, which would ultimately go on to bring about fulfillment as growth.
So what, then, do I see as an ideal gift this Christmas season? The two things that come to mind at this moment are actually something I truly need, and they are a laptop and building blocks for the construction of my house. Of course I know the tie seconds might seem odd because will someone wrap a brick of blocks and bring it under the Christmas tree for me to unwrap? Well, it doesn't have to be that way; it's just the ideal gift I need, and I know getting that, be it ten pieces, hundreds of pieces, or a thousand, would be a dream come true that'll even go on to motivate me to invest more in the building project and fast-forward my dream of moving to my own house.
The second, which is a laptop, is something I actually really need for my career development and potential to learn important 21st-century skills that'll improve my chances of making a more significant impact in life and making my life much better than it is at the moment; having this given to me as a Christmas gift would be great.

The best gift I've been given for Christmas all my life was actually clothes; it's probably one of my earliest memories of the Christmas season and getting gifts during the season. The clothes gift was given to me by my grandparents, and it's one of the trending clothes of that period. It was a shirt, shorts, and a singlet that all have a face print of the late famous rapper 2Pac on them. I loved those clothes so much that I wore them for years joyfully, and even when they seemed to be fading, I still loved them and wore them till I outgrew them.

Oya close your eyes in faith and those gifts would arrive 😌😌
I wish your dream of owning a laptop comes through and for your building blocks, God will do it. Weldone, Vick.
