Next year we try again.
Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. In a way it still feels like yesterday when this year started and how we celebrated and ushered in the new year, but it's funny how we have exactly 1 month and 1 week left to wave this year goodbye and usher in another new year. The truth is that every individual enters into every new year with dreams, goals and things they plan to achieve in the year, for that is how you remember the year, but sometimes life does not always go as planned, and you are left with some of your goals and dreams unachieved and some achieved.
Sometimes I don't always feel bad when I don't achieve some of my goals because when I look around and see the few I was able to achieve, I am forced to show gratitude to God Almighty, who made it possible. Sometimes we feel like we are not doing enough, but when you hear other people's stories and how little they have been able to achieve, you will be forced to appreciate what you have and show gratitude for all that you have. Also gratitude is a gateway to more; if you show gratitude for the little you have, you are sure to get more.
This year I had so many goals I planned to achieve, which included bagging a degree, getting inducted into the Nigerian Society of Engineers, getting my Hive power to 2k at least, and also learning UI/UX design and so many others. I have been able to achieve some and have hope to achieve some that I have not been able to, like getting my Hive power to 2k, but some I have been forced to postpone to next year, as I don't see myself being able to achieve them this year anymore.
I was not able to achieve it this year because I had a lot going on and kept really busy, rounding up school, my final year project construction, running around to make my induction happen and so many activities that give me little or no space to engage in other things. Even if I were to start now, I won't be able to achieve it this year again, so what is the point of starting now? So I just added it to next year's goals, and it will be the first goal I work on. Start keeping works and jobs for me, hehe.
