A world without lies is an impossible dream.

I welcome you to my blog. Currently we live in a world full of lies, lies from our leaders, lies from family, friends, neighbors, and even strangers. The world is in the shape it is currently because of the amount of lies that have moved from one person to another. Nobody is perfect, but I see no reason why an adult would choose to lie over saying the truth and owning up to it. People lie for different reasons, but in most cases, people lie only for what favors them, like in the case of our politicians who feed us lies and then end up doing the complete opposite of what they promised. These days you have a lot of convincing to do before you get people to believe that you are any different and will not just fill the room with lies and do the complete opposite of what you said.

One thing that leaves me perplexed is the way some people look you in the eye and lie to you or our politicians that come before thousands of people and read out a manifesto filled with lies knowing fully well that what they have in mind is the complete opposite of what they have read to the public, getting the public to raise their hopes high, hoping for a change, only to get none in the end. As a result of how many lies we have been fed in the world we live in, it has become very difficult to come across someone without trust issues; almost everyone doesn't take people for their words; you promise to get something done, and they won't believe you until you get it done.

Things were a lot better than what we have now. Those days you could make a promise and get people to hope in you to deliver and would only fail to trust you when you failed to deliver, but people no longer want to have their hopes high only to be disappointed in the end, so now when you make a promise, they just listen and do not get their hopes high; if you deliver, fine, and if you don't, life goes on as no one wants to have their hopes come crashing down anymore.

A world without lies will indeed be a good one for everybody. We will go back to a world where you don't have to talk a lot to get people to actually believe you are any different, because of how people lie these days. Everyone sees you as one, and just mere words will not change how they see you, as only your actions will actually determine if you are different or not. A world without lies is nearly impossible to achieve but if we really want something that good then we all must be the change we seek, we must start by being truthful and that way the lies reduces and we have the type of world we envisioned.
