2024: A Year Filled with Ups and Downs.
Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. We step into every year expecting the best from the year, with our goals and what we plan to achieve in mind, but sometimes things don't always go as planned, and we end up not achieving these goals; sometimes we achieve some of it, and sometimes nothing at all. The truth is every year throws a challenge at us, as that is what actually helps us grow; it is left for us to either face this challenge or run away from it, but running away from these challenges can actually hinder growth, so sometimes it is best we pick up these challenges and fight them to the end.
The year 2024, I would say, was a globally challenging year as everyone felt its impact; both the country's economy and the world economy either moved up or down. As for my country, our economy is nothing to write home about. The new government that forced themselves on us only made things even more difficult with the price of goods and services skyrocketing and leaving everyone with no other choice than to stand on their ten toes if they really want to make ends meet. It was so bad that everyone had to work extra in order to purchase something they could easily purchase before this current government took over. The country's economy was a mess, but the current government made it even messier, and funny how it is the masses that have to pay for their every wrong decision and wrong move.
Since the current government took over, it has been from one new rule to another; they keep signing and accepting bills that affect the masses wrongly, and it's funny how they don't even care. Now the most annoying is the electronic transfer fee of 50 naira for every transfer of 10,000 naira and above; every decision taken by this new government is always detrimental to the masses, and they care less. Sometimes I get scared when I watch the news and the president's mouth opens, as you do not know what comes out next. The year was challenging indeed, trying to meet up with everything that concerns you and give attention to all that needs your attention, but because it was challenging does not mean it is a bad year, as at some point we had good times.
At some point in 2024 I had to deal with financial challenges; I had my needs exceeding what I was earning, and it was indeed a cause to worry. I was also using the little I had to trade cryptocurrency as well and losing it too; it was hell. Well, it felt like I was drowning, and I was always sad, more like depression was starting to creep up on me, but I managed to pull through. Took a quick break from trading and focused on attending to needs before things got out of hand. It was olnot easy but I managed to overcome it all.

It was a tough year indeed for many but i strongly believe that the economy will change for the better.
