The Battle We Shouldn’t Be Fighting

Our world today has evolved so much when we look back to the olden days. There are a lot of things that have changed for good and for bad. As they say, not everything will turn out well and once there’s good, there will also be bad.

In as much as there’s a lot of development in our current world that is to our benefit, there are also developments which are bad for the world as a whole. Most of these problems are as a result of our own selfish interests and actions and now that they are here, we are once again working so hard to get rid of them. It’s more like causing a problem for yourself and going back to find a solution to it.

Today, there are a lot of global issues I see on the news and I wish we didn’t even have to get here in the first place. How we got here, I don’t know. But we are here, and we have to find ways and means to abolish these issues. If I’m to choose which one I’d want to get rid of from the lot, it would take me days and weeks of contemplation because most of them are of the same level of severity.

However, after looking deep inside, that one global issue that is affecting us all directly and indirectly is the issue of wars. For years now, many countries have been at war with each other. It’s either over a piece of land or something else. Now, it’s got me thinking that countries might even go to war over a piece of meat. Even though I’m not experiencing any war in my country, I’m being affected in a way because talk about inflation, traveling limitations and all. And as human as I am, I see numerous people die on the daily basis. Children being starved to death, innocent people being killed by missiles and so on. And even when people journey miles to send help, they are also killed or arrested.

How sad it is that we humans are fighting our own selves. How selfish can we be to be killing ourselves over petty issues. We really are better than this and this is the one global issue that really touches my heart and I wish to get rid of. Children deserve to have a childhood rid of tears and loss. Individual deserve to live happily with their friends and families and not have to bury them even before their time is hard. Life they say is fickle, but being alive is also very important because every life matters.
