It's a pleasure to meet you all .
My name is Kpofe John Yaw, a student of University of Cape Coast, Ghana, pursuing Bachelor of commerce (Human resource management) and also a passionate volleyball player , I'm thrilled when people call me Foni 🤗😁
I was born and nurtured in the volta region of Ghana, Volta Region is one of the best places to live in Ghana because the people of Volta Region are known for their hospitality 😍, they have delicious and nutritious foods, Volta is a home to some of the cleanest beaches in the country, not to mention the water falls and Mountain Afadja which serve as a tourist attractions. Volta is also known for producing talented volleyball players .
But I currently live in Accra ,the capital City .
I began playing volleyball in the junior high school at a very young age, thanks to my Brother Simon who influenced me to play volleyball 🏐 which became my all time favorite sports.

HOW I GOT INTRODUCED TO HIVE

I'd like to thank @iboadum82 who is my current volleyball coach at IPC Madina in the greater Accra Region of Ghana , @iboadum introduced me to peleboss in 2022, @peleboss ,whom I affectionately call Boss , is my forex Mentor. Peleboss often shares opportunities like this with his forex mentees including me. He posted a message about Hive on our mentorship WhatsApp platform one afternoon, so I took time to read through it. The following two days ,he hosted a zoom session with us and through his teachings ,I realized, this is another legitimate opportunity and a very good community to join😊🥳

ABOUT MY VOLLEYBALL CAREER

As I mentioned earlier , I started playing at a very young age , participated in Junior High School Interschool competitions and represented my school and the district in the District games on multiple occasions.
My volleyball journey didn't end there , I continued playing when I found myself in Senior High school(ADISEC), I joined the school Team as the only first year Student, volleyball is played with six players on each team, for a total of 12 players on the court.
Even though I was a first-year student , I earned a spot in the starting lineup as one of the top six players.
In my second year, I was appointed captain of the school volleyball team. ( Thus :hard work and determination).
I was privileged to be part of the university volleyball team which won the gold medal🥇in the GUSA2024 games.

I currently play for IPC Volleyball Club in Madina, Greater Accra Region .
IPC Volleyball Club competes in the Greater Accra Volleyball League (GAVL) which is the top national Volleyball League in the Country.
IPC is one of the top Volleyball Clubs in the Country , arguably the second-best or even the best civilian club in the country. We participate in nearly all the top-ranked volleyball competitions in the country ,thus, Winnabig volleyball competition, Yokohama Civilian volleyball competition, Nasco volleyball Tournament, Champions of Champions and Super Volleyball Championship (SVC). I'm proud to serve as the current captain for the club 🤗🥳

VOLLEYBALL AND ACADEMICS

Frankly speaking, it's not easy to balance volleyball with Academics 😌 but it takes hard work , dedication ,and determination to achieve our academic and athletic goals , just imagine coming back from training , but with no time to rest , You have assignments and quizzes to complete. The following week are exams. Even when you're injured and in pains , you still need to keep up with your studies .As a student, you're expected to take responsibility for your own learning,but the pressure And stress will motivate you to learn in every situation😂😁,

MY VISION IN VOLLEYBALL
"I envision myself as a dominant force on the court, leading my team to championships and serving as an example for the young ones who wish to be part of volleyball , With dedication and hard work, I'll refine my skills and become a volleyball legend, known for my passion, leadership, and unwavering perseverance.
My ultimate goal is to achieve great success in volleyball🙏🏐
