Look Who Became A Dolphin On A Bad Day

To be honest, the title I wanted for this post was “Look who woke up a dolphin,” but that’s not what happened. I was even frustrated about my dolphin journey at some point because it was just not happening as I expected.

Anyway, I was excited all through today until the lower part of my phone decided to stop working for reasons I’m still trying to figure out. It was in perfect shape and condition right this morning, and it was even the same phone that I used to power up to get to my dolphin status.

But after closing from work today, I sanitized my hands and cleaned my phone, and some minutes later, I realized the lower part of it wasn’t working. Meaning I wouldn’t be able to access the keyboard if I don’t tilt the phone to landscape mode.

I don’t even remember using the phone after cleaning it. It just happened. And I genuinely hate it when my actions cause these things. I spend so much time blaming and hating myself when these things happen. Because I feel like I should definitely know better. So it hurts me a lot when I falter.

I was all smiley this morning but getting to the evening, I wasn’t just angry, I was also sad. I think the main reason why I’m sad is because I now have to let go of my phone for a new one. I don’t know about you guys, but I find it exhausting changing my phone. Aside from the fact that it involves a lot of money, depending on the type of phone I want, I would have to go through so many processes.

I have to go back to the internet service providers to register my SIM on my phone since we now use eSIMs. I’m sure you’re wondering, “Why can’t you do that yourself?” I wonder the same too. But then I think the reason why you have to go there is to reduce all these mobile money scams.

Back to what I was saying, yeah? I also have to transfer all data on my old phone to the new one. And sometimes you just lose certain things just because there was an issue during the transfer.

I don’t think there’s anyone out there who would be excited to see his/her phone ruined on a day that is supposed to be a good one. As I sit here struggling to make this post on my phone, I’m already at the brink of tears.

But when I remember crying will never solve anything, I just sigh. But I know the perfect way out of this: a Korean drama. One Kim Hyung Song will definitely hurt another Sung Wu Nan and I’ll use that as a perfect opportunity to bring those tears out.

On the bright side, I'm now a dolphin even before my second birthday on this blockchain, and I'm grateful to everyone who has supported me this far. It really means a lot. Now, I can confidently say that the "d" in Abenad stands for dolphin. mic drop
