steevc just finished a 5.79km run, that lasted for 36 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 436.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
I have been saying that I wanted to do a parkrun whilst in North America, but it ha not worked out. There are a couple in Boston, but there was not time to get there. Yesterday we took the ferry to Salem. There is more to the place than the witch trials, but that seems to be a major draw for tourists.

Today I ran by the Charles River. We are staying a block from Boston Common. It seems to be a big town for running, but then it does have a famous marathon. I've seen a lot of guys running with their shirt off, but I kept mine on.

It is nice by the river with a big park, partly on an island. Lots of people down there. The route was pretty flat apart from some bridges. A went as far as a big bridge over the river where I had a view of the dome at MIT.

I came back through some back streets. Commonwealth Avenue is nice with lots of statues. That brought me back to the Public Gardens by the Common. I did not get lost this time.

It was not a long run, but then I have been walking a lot for the last couple of weeks.

Run free.

I thought, you also gonna lose your shirt watching others.😭7.9 km in 36 mins needs a lot stamina. 36 mins continuous running is not a joke. I hardly can run for 10-13 mins.

It's amazing the things guys do with their shirts off in the US. All shapes and sizes
Driving around town, mowing your lawn, you name it!

Some of these guys looked like stereotypical 'jocks'. I expect some could be on sports teams of the various universities.

Oh, most of the ones I see do not. They have bigger guts than me and simply don't care!

I think it's a awesome way of seeing a city from a different perspective.

Shame you couldn't find an international parkrun to join, but least you've managed to enjoy something different to your usual routes at home :-)

I've seen a lot of guys running with their shirt off, but I kept mine on.

Very discrete of you @steevc, didn't want to show up the locals eh?
